Pictured – breakfast burrito with American fries. I love coming here, it’s the only place in Montello open at 6am, the food is great, and service is always fast and friendly.

Jamie is a wonderful waitress, very friendly and personable. The food is really good. Cookies and jams are homemade by the owner. I brought one of each. Jamie perked up my weekend even with me having to deal with a bad situation at the motel. I came back the next morning.

Staff is amazing. And the environment is that old town feel. If only the food was good. Chili is out of a can and tasted the same as spaghetti sauce. Apple sauce was brown. The mound was just frozen bagged hash browns with nasty tasting cheddar cheese and terrible sausage. The ham was disgusting to say the least… I can’t believe a cheff actually prepared this meal and let it leave the kitchen. This place could be really cute if you just made the menu smaller so that you can perfect what your serving. Only use fresh ingredients and nothing frozen and old. We will try this place again next year in hopes they take some productive criticism and get a new kitchen staff , with new food and buy fresh food. (no more canned chili, no more frozen potatoes, fresh bread, and use a meat store for your meat because whoever your getting it from is selling you the old stuff.

Walked in 10 minutes to close, waitress was very gracious and welcoming. Even though we were the last patrons, we were not rushed to finish, but we also were understanding that this woman would be able to go home when we left so we didn’t dawdle. Great service and great food.

I went here as a group of 3 and we all ordered breakfast. There was maybe 3 other tables and it felt like our food took a long time to come. All 3 of our plates had under cooked veggies (like the peppers were crunchy) which isn’t all that bad, just not what I want in my omelet. Our waitress didn’t come by between bringing our food and picking up our finished plates.

First timers here, the carpets look new, the food was good and it was a homey small town cafe feel. Service was good too. Almost did not go in because of how rough the outside looks, however since the parking lot was full we went in….glad we did. Set your expectations on small town for an enjoyable visit.
