Such an intimate dining experience. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays with our husbands. Had a wonderful dinner and overall experience. I had the pescatarian menu and my husband had the omnivore so we could share. Although it’s expensive, it’s a nice dinner out for a special occasion.

Cafe Juanita serves a well-refined tasting menu that makes it a local favorite. The food would probably be closest to progressive Italian with mostly local ingredients, but it’s executed excellently.

Third time visiting and was not disappointed. Giving it four stars based on our recent tasting menu experiences at Canlis and Altura (price comparable). Personally we felt the experience at Altura was more enjoyable and satisfying than Juanita (although Juanita did not charge an extra for truffles while Altura did). Our first two times at Juanita were more enjoyable (pre-pandemic ala carte menu).

Simply a phenomenal experience! We were gifted a dinner here as a wedding gift and after months were finally able to find time to go. Our dinner left us at a loss for words. The quality of the food leaves one in awe at the craftsmanship of every bite while simultaneously is reminiscent of childhood flavors that spark favorable memories. The design of each dish was an art piece on a plate. Seeing the line cooks at work reminded me of watching a Ballet, each move and step seemingly choreographed. The servers were so friendly, when I talked with them it was as if I was conversing with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. This is an indescribable and priceless experience… that does have a significant price tag. This dining experience in which you put aside cost and appreciate it for what it is, pure art and an experience rather than a dinner.

Peak service and atmosphere for innovative and interesting takes on Italian American cuisine. Loved the omnivore tasting menu from start to finish. Several times we were blown away by the bread textures, flavor combinations, and pleasant additional dish surprises 🙂 Recomending to our closest family and friends!

I’m still so miffed by our wedding anniversary dinner we shared with our 3 grown kids and their partners that I don’t ever want to go back. I think we paid $64 for water and the bubbly water was mostly flat. They did not alert us to the fact that there was a charge. The 7 that wanted still thought they were getting “tap”.

Superb – the simple name belies their innovative exquisite cuisine. Choose between omnivore, pesceterian, or vegan prix fixe menu (someone called it “prefix” on here – had to laugh) of 8 courses with optional wine pairings. Every course knocked it out of the park – taste, textures, and presentation. We were all very satisfied after 8 courses, big smiles on our faces. An incredible meal.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Best restaurant on the Eastside hands down. Beautifully crafted dishes as part of their tasting menu, and it will leave you full. Highlights were the breads, Ibierco pork, Squash Blossom, Caviar pasta, Salmon, and Panna Cotta.

Went here for date night! The entire experience was wonderful. The ambience was great and the food was delicious. We had the tasting menu and the best part was that they had separate vegan and vegetarian menus. Supplements were offered for an additional charge. I think the food presentation could have been a bit better for the price.
