Delicious, AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine. Nothing is hidden by heavy sauces (unless you request that) or hidden by mounds of shredded lettuce. This told us right away that this food is the real deal. Loved the avocado salsa with fresh from the oven hand made tortilla chips, and the street tacos were first rate. The open kitchen affords a great view of the food being prepared. Our meal was on par with any casual dining experience we had in Mexico City. This is our new “go to” restaurant for Mexican food in Hot Springs.

Dani is an amazing waitress. Made sure I was happy and a beautiful soul. Her mother owns the restaurant and made the best avocado salsa I have ever experienced. The butterfly shapes in my dessert made my lunch amazing. The Chorizo tacos were my favorite I have ever had. 5 Stars all day!

Wow! Okay, so this place really impressed me from the moment I walked in and saw how eclectic and cozy the atmosphere was to the food itself. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the chilaquiles (chips covered in salsas) because I usually don’t order an entree with chips because you get complementary chips on the table but boy am I glad I did!!!! The thin steak (Cecina) IS DELICIOUS that comes on top!! Super tender and flavorful. I would definitely go back for this. I also tried the pambaso which is like a torta dipped in red sauce- very good but not the best in town personally. The flautas were good- potato is the best- if you need a recommendation. It’s not the biggest meal so I would recommend an appetizer if you were getting that. The pancakes with caramel are really flavorful too- I recommend getting it with the fruit too, lovely flavors. The chorizo cheese dip was decent- tasted like any other I have had and the breakfast potatoes are not seasoned too much so they are great if you are on a low sodium diet. Overall, I would definitely go back for the atmosphere and the chilaquiles. Oh and the house-made fruit punch is worth the two cup limit.

Newer place at edge of downtown. Business have been expanding in this area for awhile, like DeLucas Pizza.

The homemade style Mexican food is really good, but the service is very slow. I have visited this place several times, busy and slow, and the service is always slow. Other than that, this is a nice place to get breakfast/brunch.

We had a little of everything and it was amazing. The peanut butter pancakes were to die for! Seriously, I eat pb on my pancakes all the time and this place knocked it out of the park. Absolutely no wait during spring break. Eat here!

Had to get some boozy coffee and this hits the spot. Try the flight to get a taste of all the different flavors of coffee. If you are in search for something sorta different then get the Nopal Huarache which is a cactus dish. Kinda on the smaller side but worth the price. The Chilaquiles is also a good dish and can’t go wrong with it.

If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican breakfast/brunch, this is definitely the spot to try. The freshly squeezed orange juice and pancakes are to die for Fast & Friendly service as well! Definitely recommend this cafe ☕️ 10/10

Cafe Kahlo is definitely one of the best restaurants in hot springs. Their breakfast is sooo amazing and fresh. Everything looked so good and tasted even better. Our server, Callie, was so sweet and gave great service. Jonathan and Melanie, the owners, have worked so hard to create and fun atmosphere and are the sweetest people. Everything about this small business is amazing!
