Absolutely our favorite restaurant, never once have we had a bad meal and the service is amazing! Nick has been our waiter the last couple of visits and every time we see him it is like seeing an old friend! The new menu additions this season are must have! Our favorite part of summer is our dinners at Cafe Loren!

Year after year, visit after visit Cafe Loren never disappoints. Food is superb — house salad, Ceasar salad and oh my gosh, the pistachio- crusted goat cheese & beets! Went twice in the past four days during restaurant week…BBQ pork chop, chicken, salmon…all excellent . If there was a picture in the food dictionary of pan-seared scallops, it would be the ones prepared here. Food is so beautifully plated you really do have a visual feast before you ever take a bite. Desserts=yum! Staff, to a person, are outstanding–professional, friendly, go out of their way to accommodate you. Definitely five stars, would give more if I could!

Cozy, upscale restaurant with a larger footprint than it seems from the front. Fully enjoyed the Jersey Salad, Loren Steak (fillet), and Blueberry Cobbler. Service was prompt and food was excellent. A+

Food was outstanding. Server was nice but forgot to put an app. in. Overall a nice quiet place for dinner except for the 2 tables right by the kitchen entrance. Hearing the dishwasher working wasn’t all that quiet but would go back.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review of this place yet! My wife and I favorite restaurant in the world by far, from the staff to the ambience to the food, complete home run! When we get a chance to go here, it doesn’t matter the time, we go! 445 or 9:15…. We’ll be there!

Fantastic meal and service last night! We started with a Spicy Gazpacho, followed by Chargrilled Octopus and Seared Sea Scallops, and then for the main course we had Veal Loren, Braised Short Ribs, and a NY Strip Steak special. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the service was very attentive; we even had some modifications from the kitchen for food allergies. We will definitely be returning soon!

I took my mom here for her birthday while we were staying in Avalon. We both had great meals. I had the best- and largest!- scallops of my lifetime (and I’ve eaten many). I’d go back just for the scallops! Our entrees were delicious, seasoned well, and cooked correctly. I can’t say enough about this little gem. Simply try it yourself, and you will not regret it!!!

Perfection! As you enter the dining room, you experience serenity. Then the waiter comes to your table with a wealth of cuisine knowledge to guide you through your dining experience.
