Went with a co-worker, on his recommendation. I had the beef steak. It was only “ok” nothing special. The beans were very soupy, the rice was bland and the salsa had just a touch of flavor. The meal was $10.00. Portion size was reasonable for the price. Meh. Not bad, not great. If I go back, I will try something different.

A coupon brought us to try Mabel’s for the first time. The food was good but we were shocked when the owner refused to honor the printed coupon. She explained that while she had issued it in years past, she didn’t intend to this year.

Shockingly good Mexican food. Some of the most authentic food I’ve had outside of Mexico and unquestionably the best I’ve had in Montana. The quality showed in everything from the main dish to the tortillas. Service was great.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. The food was alright, but our server (who seemed to be the owner) never got us refills on anything, never asked us how the food was, and literally never showed one bit of personality. She would sit on her phone next to her “regulars” and have a conversation with them while we were waiting for something as simple as a refill. It wasn’t like she was talking to her regulars for a couple minutes or anything, she literally sat down next to them the WHOLE time we were in the restaurant!

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Food definitely is not authentic Mexican food.were from Minnesota. And got told that is a wonderful place to eat it definitely isnt. The chill verda definitely is not that and half the menu they were out of and no dessert. Definitely never go there and they are way to overpriced

Very disappointed. Drove all the way to eat at what I was told was really good and authentic Mexican food. Being from Texas i was really looking forward to some real mexican food. Website says open till 3:30. We arrived at 2:11 only to be told, “we close at 2:00”.

Mabel’s is tucked away and off the beaten path, but the food is fresh and delicious, and the salsa keeps us coming back for more. Pay close attention to the hours as it closes in between lunch and dinner, but if you get the timing right, the food is well worth it
