I’ve been coming here for at least 18 years. It’s always amazing and the chefs know my order the second I walk in. I moved to california and made sure cafe mami was my last meal before I moved and my first meal when I came back to visit. Definition of my comfort food. I get the Yaki Don and kaiso and call me weird but I recommend you put the kaiso on top of the yaki don! 100000/10 would recommend pro tip: add a little spicy Mayo and sriracha

Very comforting curry spot with very limited seating. The chicken katsu was very tender and crispy even when it was drenched in their curry. The ratio between the curry, rice, and katsu was also perfect so there was nothing left on the plate. The service is super quick as while so it makes for a perfect lunch stop.

Had the hamburger steak and Japanese chicken curry, both delicious but the steak is by far my favorite dish there. Great mixture of sweet and salty, and the steak is extremely tender. The potatoes and salad are also great sides.

Loved the food. Loved the prices. Everything hit the spot and I really appreciate the portions. Curry had a good kick. The katsu breading wasn’t peeling off and they used good technique. My beef was cooked perfectly. Chicken was moist and not overcooked.

I’ve been a customer for a decade now. Food quality hasn’t changed at all, prices have always remained reasonably competitive despite the rising cost of living in the Boston area. Chili Tokyo Hamburg set is my go-to with a great mixture of sweet, savory, and spiciness. I’ve tried hamburg sets in Japan and this is as authentic as it gets, except for the portion which is a bigger here. Service is great and staff is always welcoming. Call in ahead of time and place your order on the phone if it gets busy and you don’t want to get in the line to dine in there.

This cafe is part of the mall’s “food court” and eating here was a really strange experience. As a first-time customer, I was quite confused with what to do or where to wait. It turns out that you first get in line and order, but you aren’t seated right away. The idea is that you’ll be seated around the time that the food is ready, as a way to minimize how long you’re sitting there. I can respect the reasons for that, but it definitely isn’t my preferred style of dining. Apparently, several of the spots in the food court operate in the same way, including the adjacent ramen place, though I haven’t tried it yet.
