Before the pandemic this was one of our favorite places to go for lunch. Staff was always amazing, the food good, the prices reasonable. That has changed. The last two times we went there the place was filthy. Sticky tables, food on the floor, and the drink station was scary enough for me to assume if it looked that bad from the outside, I can’t imagine the potential mold and slime on the inside. Food was slopped everywhere in the food service area, all over the counter and intermixing. I’m not real picky but this is beyond acceptable. I decided we were better off eating elsewhere.

Food was ehh. Undercooked beans and rice, meat was good but way too salty, small guacamole scoop. Tasted fresh but didnt look like it at all, which was odd. Nice workers though. Lots of napkins and easily accessible.

I love the food here. Definitely a good choice for that. House made tortillas! But the service is lackluster at best. I feel like I’m back at school in the lunch line and the food is being slopped on the tray. Also all over the counter and the floor. I don’t think they talk about cross contamination with the employees at all. The serving bar is always a mess. I don’t really know about the atmosphere I always take out.

I love love love Cafe Rio. Taco Tuesday is the best where else can you get a fabulous Taco for$2.50 and one taco is enough to fill you up. The people that work there are so very nice. I know it’s a corporation but it seems more hometown , .I really appreciate that attitude.

The entry, bathrooms and windows are pretty disgusting. My to go order process went smoothly as did pick up. But the lack of cleanliness made me wonder what was happening in the kitchen. Must have some pride of place. It’s a reflection of management and the staff who work there. Maybe corporate needs to pay a visit or the health dept? We have long enjoyed Cafe Rio, but this visit makes me rethink our relationship.

I usually enjoy this place. Recently I placed ordered online for pick up. I showed up when my order was supposed to be ready and they had just pulled the ticket when I got there. No line, so ordering online was pointless. Staff was bickering with each other. When i got home i found out they did not put rice or meat in my burrito and the tacos were thrown together and tortilla was over cooked. I give 4 stars because normally the food is good.

Filthy, under cooked rice and cross contamination of meats and other items just a big mess, took a couple bites even with appearance thinking maybe they just got slammed etc…. Nope just lazy staff who complain of sweeping cause they have to catch a bus, told them their fountain machine is leaking and they just told me yeah it’s fine it does that….we never finished our meal and tossed it, only gave it a star because I had to.

Terrible service. Asked for for rice and beans and the server rudely says “what”. Then asked for a little ranch on my lettuce and continues to put a giant scoop on my burrito ruining my food and giving me a soupy bowl and smirks. Terrible food and service and wouldn’t go back again.

We ordered dinners to go on 3-15-23. We got home (we live 40 miles from town) only to find that our order was missing one of the dinners. I called and was told that they would refund one of the dinners since it was too far to come back to pick it up. I’ve called 3 times now and have still yet to see any kind of refund. It has been well over two weeks. There are plenty of other options for dinner in Missoula that will actually get your order right. We won’t be going back. Very disappointed in the error and lack of effort to resolve the error.
