Creamy Tomatillo Dressing
It’s been said that our Creamy Tomatillo Dressing should be its own food group. Sure it’s great on our salads, but people love them on our tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chips, and even by the spoonful. Our Creamy Tomatillo is made from tomatillos, jalapenos, salsa fresca, cilantro, and a blend of flavor-packed spices. #TheObsessionIsReal #CafeRio
Chips & Queso
We know. Hot melted cheese is totally awesome. But our queso is made even more awesome by our mix of Mexican peppers and spices. Better get extra chips! #TheObsessionIsReal #CafeRio

I think the Google rating is 4.2, I would like to say for myself it is more 3.5, why? The food is fresh and over all very good. The signage and the employee communication is lacking. They communicate very little. For someone just trying it out, they are likely to get a poor impression because they simply don’t know how to order. So, if you go there all the time you probably love it. If you’ve never been, your experience will probably be lacking. In summary, is it good? Yes. It’s on the higher end of the pricing scale but it is very fresh and well made. Just take your time and ask questions. Make them answer. Don’t order until you are sure what you are getting and it will be fine.

Cafe Rio is like Chipotle, but better. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great and they give you pretty large portions. We got salads and they came with a tortilla with melted cheese on it. It was basically an open face burrito. Very yummy.

I wouldn’t come back. My wife and I had never been here before so we had questions about how they built their dishes but they just seemed to want to get our food and us out. For $27 we could have had food just as good and more of it at Taco Time. We won’t be back.

Completely filthy!! The little manager girl, just eating food while she makes your food … Looks like they haven’t done any sort of cleaning…. N no… It wasn’t busy.. everyone was standing around… The food was dry like it was sitting un covered and just ikk…. They used to be delicious…. The last two times tho…. Trash…. Not to mention it’s about 20 bucks a person… If your paying that much money… It should say least me fresh or even hot or even not have people eating food while they make yours .. !! Yuk go somewhere else

Amazing pork, friendly staff! I enjoy Cafe Rio’s food it is very tasty. I know it’s a corporate decision and not a local store decision but for a Mexican restaurant they’re guacamole is very subpar not to mention they charge you like $2 with this itty bitty little cup of guacamole, I don’t really appreciate being ripped off. However once again that is a corporate decision and not a local decision so I understand. Ultimately this is a pretty good place to eat and the staff is very very friendly they always smiling. The store is clean and well maintained.

We haven’t been to Cafe Rio in a couple of years since we are no longer near one. They have greatly simplified their menu, not positively in my opinion. We used to love the food but have realized that it is way too salty now. Maybe it always has been but we just didn’t know it. Either way, CR used to be a destination when we found one but now that is no longer the case.
