The first thing I saw was a worker eating behind the counter, who happened to be our cashier and touched our lids for the food containers.

Ordered a sweet pork burrito and the entire burrito was full of rice and beans. There was no little meat that for a minute we wondered if there was any on it at all. The rice and beans was flavorless and so one of our meals was essentially inedible and absolutely disappointing. We have continued to dine here intermittently because of the limited Mexican food options in the area and this will be the last time we make this mistake, since disappointing food and service here is commonplace. Taco Bell would have been a better more flavorful meal.

Entrance and dining area was clean. The first thing I noticed was tortillas being made. That’s always a positive! We called in our order, mostly choosing this establishment because they actually have queso. The service was fast and friendly. Very helpful. Food was better than expected for a build your burrito, salad, taco etc place. My first experience and definitely not my last!

The app ordering system and service for this location is complete trash.

My mobile order was 55 minutes past the promised time. My salad was nothing but shredded lettuce, none of the correct toppings, and nowhere near the cafe Rio standard awesomeness. All of the quesadillas were cold and hard as a rock. Love love love Cafe Rio and will definitely be back…just not to this location. $50 down the drain. Kids won’t touch the quesadillas. Super don’t blame them.

Very nice that this place is open past 8pm we needed a place to eat before attending a concert downtown at the knitting factory and we’re successful!

Super unimpressed with the location on Broadway. The last time my husband and I went, we went pretty late and so the service was not very good and the food was old but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was right before close so that’s on us. Then we visit again today around 4 pm and get in line. No one greeted us or asked us what we wanted (there was NO ONE in the restaurant) besides two workers who looked like they were clocked out and one girl working on food. So again, giving the benefit of the doubt. After about five minutes and another person joining in the line she finally acknowledged us saying, “Just one moment.” There was no rush and honestly she was moving like a sloth. It was almost comical. The guy behind us LEFT (that’s how long we were waiting) and then she started finally making our food…BUT THEN SHE STARTS WORKING ON DOOR DASH/TO GO ORDERS IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR ORDER. I seriously was so annoyed by the end of this unnecessarily long order that I will never come back to this location until they figure out how to have some customer service or common sense. She could’ve taken our order and had the to go orders done in the amount of time she took dinking around with everything. Shoot, we’ll just go to costa vida. ✌

Came at the end of the day. Steak was delicious and plentiful on my tacos! Workers seemed super tired and made me wonder if they worked all day! They moved pretty slowly. My husband asked if they actually closed at 10:15 and they said they have tried to change it forever and that they close at 9. I got on google and suggested an edit along with a picture of the hours. Hopefully that helps!

This was the most ghetto Cafe Rio I’ve ever visited. They were out of some stuff, which is fine/understandble, but holy hannah no one there new what they were doing and they were slow and just kinda mozied about. No rush, no effort, just kinda clocking in mindless mentality. Took a long time to get someone to take order. Kitchen/serving area wasn’t very clean. Weirdest Cafe Rio experience I’ve ever had. The only reason I gave 2 instead of 1 star is it was still decent food, even if the beans were burnt. ‍♀️

They don’t have consistent portions. Person in front of me orders the same exact thing and gets more meat. I told them they don’t put very much meat on and they said it’s portioning… Whatever that means… even though they are not equal from plate to plate
