Every time I go through the drive through they make my order wrong. I’m allergic to avocados and lactose intolerant so I always specify no cheese and no guacamole. So I checked my salad as I was about leave and noticed cheese was on it. I told them and they took it back and just covered it with chips… when I got home there was guacamole on it as well… feels super lazy and slimy. Coming from someone who worked I. The service industry all through college.

We love coming here. The place is clean, their pinto beans are much better than anywhere else, and the music is fun and not so loud. Daniel is always so attentive, you can tell he really enjoys his job, cares for the clientele and staff. We’ll definitely continue to go out of our way to come to this location!

This was my first time coming to this cafe rio and I had a terrible experience. The customer service was fine but the food was terrible. There was barely any meat in any of my food. I had a bite of sweet pork and then there was no more meat and the meat in my chicken salad was also very minimal with a picture down low to demonstrate. The lettuce in my salad was also very shredded up as if I had gotten the last of the bag so it was very difficult to actually eat. I am very disappointed in the food I received here and will probably not go to this location again

Last time I ordered food from here, the cheese on my nachos wasn’t melted at all and they remedy it by covering the un-melted cheese with an unreasonable amount of pico, knowing I wouldn’t notice until I got home. This time I found a hair in my salad halfway through eating it and the guacamole was brown. Besides the food, the restaurant is always a mess.

I ordered a tostada and this is what I received. Not even half of what the portion sizes were last time I ate here but I definitely paid the same price. Not to mention my order was supposed to be ready at 7 pm and I didn’t receive it until just before 7:30. Waited over half an hour in the restaurant just to be disappointed with what I received. I’m really upset because I used to love coming to Cafe Rio but this made me not want to return.

I love there’s a drive-thru at this location. Lately, I have had more than one bad experience at this Cafe Rio. I am vegetarian and recently I’ve found chunks of steak or chicken in my food. Today I put in an order online for pickup and got there 20 minutes after the pickup time because of traffic. When I got there the people at the drive-thru they told me they were still working on it and asked me to come inside. The person in front of me just ordered their food, so what’s the difference waiting in line inside vs waiting in line in the drive thru? They were incredibly rude after I posed this question, which an honest explanation would have sufficed and I would have gone inside to wait.

I’m incredibly disappointed with Cafe Rio tonight. My entire salad was lettuce that was so shredded it was basically mush. (I did not ask for shredded lettuce) I specifically asked for the fire roasted chicken and received steak, which I cannot have. I paid extra for no protein.

Went to get a chicken salad from cafe rio. They are usually pretty good but I have learned that this location is NOT the location to go to. A girl named Leticia took my order and was extremely slow, I had to repeat myself multiple times just for two salads for my daughter and I. She was NOT nice at all, had attitude. In the end I counted 2 pieces of chicken when I went to eat it, and this is not the first time I don’t get any meat in my meals at this location. This one is closer to my house so I thought it would be convenient when it opened but definitely not going back! I would rather drive further to a better location in salt lake that provides quality meals & friendly customer service!!

I went through the drive through and ordered a salad. I was not going to be eating my salad at home, so it would have been nice had they included any kind of silverware to eat my salad with. The salad also was missing most the toppings including the guacamole. To top it all off, when I was finally able to eat the salad after (having to find silverware) I ate a bite and pulled a long hair out of my mouth. So gross!!! The quality is not what I’m used to for Cafe Rio. I will not be back.
