Always liked eating at Cafe rio but the last 2 times has been the worst. Last time I waited 30 minutes after they said my order was gonna be ready. This time the food is terrible. The guacamole looked super dark and tastes terrible. And you pay extra for enchilada style and we barely got any sauce. Usually the burrito is covered in sauce and covers the bottom. The burrito looked dry in some parts and looks like they barely used any sauce. Was gonna give it 1 star but the guy working helped us real quick and was nice and thats why I gave 2 stars

The staff were not very attentive and they kept telling my husband and I that they were out of tortillas and that we had to wait. We did not mind waiting but after waiting a couple minutes the lady who was taking our order told me that they were completely out of corn tortillas and the lady who was making tortillas chimed in and said that they were not and she was making some. My husband ordered the new birria tacos which we had to wait for because they didn’t have any more meat or tortillas made. Other people who were in line behind us had already ordered their food and paid while we were still waiting for our food. My husbands food was finally out on the grill and we decided to pay while we waited. I ordered chicken enchiladas which were already done and sitting on a tray next to the cashier. We waited 15 minutes for my husbands food to be done while mine sat by the cashier getting cold. When we finally sat down to eat my husband opened up his tacos and they were all burnt. So ridiculous!! My food on the other hand was cold. We didn’t say anything to anyone because we did not think it was worth it. A whole bunch of children were working the line with no caring adult in site. How ridiculous. I also took pictures of my husbands burnt tacos that he ate because he was hungry and was not gonna wait around 30 minutes for them to re make his tacos. The kids they have working are super slow and you can tell they do not care about how they’re making your food nore are they friendly. The cashier looked absolutely miserable. No smile from any of the workers. I do not want a whole bunch of children making my food so I will not be returning. So disappointed.

I am very disappointed in the $6.99 1/2 cup of “tortilla soup” I paid for. Mine was chicken broth with 6 carrots floating in it, no tortilla, and no tortilla strips. SMH. I know it gets busy there, but regardless, don’t post misleading ads on your social media if you aren’t serving what you market to the public. It wasn’t worth me having to drive all the way back with my carrot soup to ask for my money back. That’s another $6.99 in gas to ask for what I paid for. It would have turned into a $14 1/2 cup of soup. I was disappointed, to say the least. Do better, Cafe Rio. Or at least put some tortilla in your tortilla soup. FIX IT

I would like to share our experience on going to this location. First let me be clear we absolutely love cafe Rio, and this location is no different. The food was amazing, the steak is like how I would make it. Juicy, perfect flavor no complaints on food at all. But I have to give it 3 stars simply because of how slow the place is. We went in with 3 people in front of us and they took almost 30 minutes to get them through. The one kid that was making our food was just sluggish and soo slow. The older gentleman I’m going to assume is the manager was amazing though. Asked us what we wanted how we wanted it and spoke clearly for us to understand with a smile on his face. I think they need better employees with better work ethic.

I only ever order takeout here, and usually it is on time. Sometimes they are very busy and it takes longer but that makes sense. I’ve never had any issues with the food, and it’s a lot for a good price!! My only complaint is the parking is always packed because of the other places that are nearby but that’s not their fault lol.

We have been loyal Cafe Rio customers for a decade. The food is always fresh, and the quality of the protein(s) is above what one would expect from a fast casual restaurant. The service since the pandemic has slipped a few notches. The wait times in line are longer. As takeout and mobile orders have increased, these are often filled ahead of the people in line. There should be a separate make-line for these orders. Also, we have seen a drop in the overall cleanliness of the tables. We still like Cafe Rio and hope they return to their pre pandemic experience.

The owner of this place is responsible for all these negative reviews. The teenagers working here are doing their hardest but you can tell they are understaffed. Took us over an hour to get our food and the manager was extremely mean. The leaders here need to be trained better. This place used to be so good with great service but idk what has happened. We asked manager for a refund but instead of helping us she ran away. I asked for refund but the manager told me no. Don’t go to this cafe rio. Go to the other one.

I’ve been coming to this location for years since it is the closest to my home and have seen a drastic decline at this store regarding competency of staff. I’m at the point I’m not likely to ever return with how terrible service is EVERY time I come here. It starts with rude staff acting like spoiled teenagers and fighting over who has to service the customers in line. Hearing the staff argue “you do it, I’m off the clock” before someone finally steps up is ridiculous and unprofessional. Then hearing other staff complain they only made $11 in tips for the day where customers can overhear you in the dining area is poor form. Based on the lack of customer service in this place I’m shocked you even get tips. These are rude and lazy children running this store, with zero customer service skills, and the absolute slowest line work.
