Absolutely delicious every time . The menu changes each week which makes it fun and exciting to try new things. Sunday brunch is outstanding. Have been back many many times and will be going back many many more. Would highly recommend it If you enjoy extremely high quality food with amazing tastes and combinations. The staff is always extremely nice and helpful and very professional. It’s one of our favorite places to go. We are so glad we found it!.

This restaurant fills a much needed niche. How often does someone crave a really fantastic dinner but not want to get dressed up and go through the rigmarole of a fancy restaurant. Here you can come in shorts, get a good glass of wine , and have a spectacular meal in a very comfortable casual ambience. I wish they could come to Charlotte! Families, kids of all ages, and just an overall way to spend a nice summer night! Bar, variety of coffee , a nice outdoor patio, lots of seating, certainly checks all the boxes. Catfish is spectacular! Crab cakes delish! Actually we have been dining out more than we care to admit and these were best we’ve ever has. Will definitely be back. And online they have a variety of fully prepared take-out dinners. Vegan and Paleo as well.

We stopped over from the river for brunch. Get the cheese grits side no matter what. All other dishes are so nice because they aren’t over promised like so many menus out there…..ur actually going to get all that the menu promises!

Stopped in there for brunch, happy I did. The staff was helpful in making recommendations. Food was really good. I ordered the chicken and biscuit with a side of cheesy grits. I cannot recommend the dish highly enough. The pickled peaches worked so well with the spicy chili honey sauce. OMG my mouth is watering now just thinking about it. I’m going back to try their dinner menu, and definitely back again for brunch. They had some tasty options.

Had a great low key and healthy Saturday evening date night at Cafe Root Cellar. The crab cake over mixed local greens was very tasty as was the flatbread and beers. The ambience was fun, great local food and a clean trendy grounded atmosphere. We felt welcome and grooved to some Bootsy Collins, and other such funky tunes. We’ll be back.

Today I ordered the Ruben and they got my order wrong and gave me the Turkey club with slaw sandwich. The restaurant was empty when I arrive at 4:00 pm. I mentioned it to waiter and ate what they gave me because I didn’t want them to waste food. I don’t like having to pay for tips before receiving service, that’s just not right! The food is always good here.
