gonna be honest, everything here was painfully mid. my boyfriend and i ordered nigiri, a roll, and shrimp ramen. the tuna on top of the roll we ordered looked like canned cat food, and the ramen looked nothing like what i expected. rather, it looked like top ramen with a few pieces of shrimp thrown on top. it was bland too. i felt bad sending it back (i ended up getting the general tso’s chicken, but that too was bad–literally grilled chicken that tasted like it was lightly tossed in sauce) but it was genuinely so plain i couldn’t eat it. we ended up just paying and getting up to leave. the only good thing was our server, he was genuinely nice and accommodating. not sure how they have a 4.5

Cafe Sado has been my go to sushi restaurant on Kent Island for years now. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. The only issue I saw was the lack of wheelchair access to the restaurant, you have to use stairs to get in. They have very consistent service and do it with a smile. I have never had to wait for a table, even when they are busy they do a great job accommodating you. They have a good variety of food if you are not into sushi, things like fried rice and noodle dishes. The cost is very fair, especially on the sushi. If you dine in the sushi is buy one get one free. The quality of food is good for the price but it’s not going to be the best you ever had, you get what you pay for and I think that’s fair. Overall it’s a great experience and perfect for a family or a date night. I recommend it to everyone who visits and anyone who has not been.

The food has taken a down turn under the new manager. Tastes like they have gone for cheaper fish and you can taste it! We sent everything with eel back, I’ve never tasted eel that tasted so incredibly fishy in my life. I’m sad, this was my favorite sushi in the region and now I’m not sure I wanna come back. Sad because the service is still just as great, the staff is all kind and welcoming, being let down by the food.

I had a good dining experience today. The service was exceptional and very attentive. The Dragon Roll and Crunchy Fire Roll Sushi were awesome as was the rest of the food items I had ordered like Yaki Soba with Chicken. The price point here is very reasonable. The atmosphere in the the dining room is lively but not overwhelming and provides a nice environment. I recommend Cafe Sado for a good meal that is reasonably priced and good quality.

I wasn’t sure if I should take my 4 year old son here, but luckily he was good. I got the volcano roll and another one that had crunchy tempura and tuna…omg it was incredible. Service was great, food came fast, atmosphere is very nice. Fancy yet casual. My son liked the crab wontons. The bathroom is pretty too. I would definitely recommend for sushi and I will be back, hopefully without my son so I can take my time and bask in the atmosphere longer than like 30 minutes

This review would be a 1* if it weren’t for the exquisite sushi and the BOGO weeknight sushi deal. However my entree of spicy steak w basil was awful! The sauce was cloyingly thick and sweet as if it came out of a can or microwaved frozen entree. I could barely eat it. We were one of the last customers but no excuse, just tell us your menu is limited at the end of the night don’t insult customers with sub par food. This is not some carry out joint, the prices, other than the sushi deal, are not cheap so quality is expected. I’ll be sticking with the Pour House downstairs instead of Sado for the foreseeable future.
