Authentic Italian food. I came here around 2019 and loved it. I was concerned it might not be the same; however I was just as impressed as before. The lasagna might have even increased in flavor and overall quality since last time. The braised beef ravioli is also a delectable meal. Only problem was there were only two servers for the whole restaurant, so it was a little slow – no fault to them.

We were immediately greeted/attended. Drinks were on the strong side and not in a good way. Calamari was really tender and the dipping sauce was really good. Ravioli and tortellini were both delicious. The shrimp Toscana was decent, sauce was much too light so I ended up adding the remaining dipping sauce from the calamari to the pasta and it made it great. The shrimp were reasonably sized. Crème brûlée had great flavor but the sugar wasn’t flammed enough so it didn’t have that nice crack when you dig into it. Cheesecake was good. Mexican coffee was really good. Service was amazing. Very attentive without being pushy. There was always someone to refill our water/ask if we wanted another drink. Staff was also quick to clear the table from plates. Prices are reasonable considering the quality. Have gone 3x since my first visit and the calamari never disappoints. Their drinks are way too strong/bitter

Fantastic fresh Italian centric food. Service was spot on, friendly and relaxed. I look forward to many more meals here.

They have Brandy listed in two of their meals but I couldn’t get a Brandy old fashioned? Probably didn’t matter, since they put so much bitters in, I couldn’t taste anything else.

We eat here often and it is always great! I ordered the express lunch for the first time and it was super good! The Caesar salad was perfect! The tilapia Livornese was excellent and the potato and vegetable sides were extremely well done and presented! I took my dessert to go..cannoli..all for 19.99!!! My husband had one of his usual dishes, gnocchi sorrentina, and it was so-o-o-o-o good…exceptional..he says! Highly recommend.

A little disappointed the gnocchi’s were very doughy the shrimp were overcooked the lobster ravioli were pretty good but it was supposed to be a vodka sauce it tasted like a tomato sauce. The owner came up to talk with me and comp me my meal and was very apologetic. Will try again The Manhattans were really good

Fantastic spot for fresh Italian food. Pastas are homemade and you can tell the difference. Lovely atmosphere. Desserts are just delicious, cannoli being my favorite but tiramisu is wonderful as well. Feels good supporting local business as well.

We had an excellent dinner here prior to the John Mulaney concert. Everyone in our party was pleased with their meals. The starter bread and oil and Caprese app were ok. The calamari and fried cheese were the best apps. NY Strip was well prepared, though slightly past the medium rare I requested. Chicken and shrimp scampi was good, not great. Generally it was a nice food experience.

When you walk into this place there was no host or hostess. After you finally get seated the waiters are strange. They have absolutely no personality. No people skills. All business, get the order, get you in get you out. If you ask for something, it usually takes them forever or you have to ask again. Food came out real fast. We both ordered seafood. It was barely warm, tasteless and watery. (Shrimp Scampi). No lemon on plate. Had to ask which took forever. Waiters brought out 2 very small wedges of lemon. As soon as we were done with dinner they were trying to get us to order dessert. We kind of delayed ìt so we weren’t rushed out. We ordered coffee as well. After drinking one cup of coffee we asked for a refill. They charged us for the refill and brought the bill. We never got the refill until I had to ask the second time. What restaurant charges for a refill? Cafe Toscana does. It just doesn’t feel like an Italian restaurant to me. We have made our last reservation. On one occasion we made a reservation 5 days before, when we arrived they said they didn’t have our name. The management just seems a bit disconnected. Like I said before it just doesn’t feel Italian.

A trip we make several times a year takes us through Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Two years ago, we were hungry as we approached Wilkes-Barre and went online to get a recommendation for a late lunch. One of the top rated restaurants was Cafe Toscana. What a wonderful discovery. The food was outstanding, and we now try to time our trip so we can enjoy a lunch or dinner there. For a starter, try the fresh caesar salad or delicious minestrone soup. For a main, try the manicotti di casa or the mushroom risotto in a brandy sauce. For dessert, the Tartufo Bomba is highly recommended. In the future, we look forward to trying the veal, chicken, and seafood dishes. The service was efficient but not intrusive. The ambience reminded me of a ristorante in Italy.
