Wanted a good diner in Taos and ended up at this place. We ordered cokes and we were brought two cans and two glasses of ice. We were also brought water and the glasses didn’t appear clean which didn’t make the water look very drinkable. When we ordered the burger special we asked that both burgers be medium-well. When the burgers arrived we were told one was medium and one was medium-well. Once we tasted them we knew they were made from frozen patties and not fully thawed when cooked, they weren’t even close to medium let alone medium-well. The fries were over-seasoned and too salty. The server was not attentive and I had the track her down to request the check. $36 for two terrible burgers and two cans of coke, what a joke!

Wow!! I’ve been in Taos for five months and never stopped in until today. I’m kicking myself the food is freaking amazing!! The wine is spot on, great cab to compliment the food. I custom ordered some pasta with spicy Italian sausage and meatballs in a spicy marinara!!!

We are having ice tea and Italian burgers. The meat is sticking out of the bun and cooked perfectly. Cute place in a historic building. The patios are nice, we like the back porch the best ( not as noisy).

We stopped there in the late afternoon for a cool beverage and enjoyed ourselves so much that we wound up staying for dinner. We each had different entrees all of which were very nicely presented. The food was superb, the service was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended–and save room for dessert. Portions are generous!

My boyfriend and I are students at UNM Taos. While on a break before my last class, we decided to venture to the Plaza to grab something to eat before heading back. It was around 4pm, and most of the local restaurants around there were already closed or closing. Bummed, we headed further up to try the Adobe bar and grill…when we caught the medley of wonderful smells coming from the little cafe nearby.

In a town full of dining places this is or take out favorite. Dining in or out doors it’s great too. But the pasta travels well and I love to drink a beer while I wait. A great menu for non meat eaters if you’re into that? I love the penne arriabta.

Wow, where do I begin! We ate at Caffe Renato for the first (and last) time tonight. May I just say that I have never, in all of my years dining out been so appalled by a restaurant experience.
