Started my Saturday with a walk to Calaveras for breakfast. I was greated warmly at the counter and ordered coffee and juevos rancheros. I hit the salsa bar and kept it simple with some creamy green. It’s tangy bite so good with the warm fresh chips provided with my drink. The food arrived quickly and was feast for the senses even before taking a bite. The potatoes had crispy edges and tender insides, so much better than the obviously frozen “home fries” many breakfast places serve. Everything on the plate enhanced the other things on the plate. This isn’t my first meal at Calaveras and hopefully not my last.
