The waitress was l pleasant and attended to us promptly. We had an appetizer, entrees and drinks. We were too full for dessert. The food was very good, We were there for about an hour. I almost didn’t go because of the negative reviews, (ignore them). This place is definitely worth a visit!

This lovely restaurant went out of its way to accommodate about two dozen of us for lunch. The service was absolutely impeccable, but the food was hit and miss. For example, both mine and my sister’s chicken was overcooked, but the women sitting next to us had calamari in their dish that was cooked to perfection. This could have been due to their having to fix so many dishes at one time, so I’d definitely give them a try again.

This place is wonderful. Staff at Portugalia recommended it. The midweek dinner for 2 is great. With 2 adults and 2 kids, you still get 2 bottles of wine. The website doesn’t mention that there are a bunch of other special dishes included in the deal- see photo. Many of those are awesome, too. The pork osso buco reminded us of grilled pork shank in Germany or eastern France, but even softer meat. The salt cod special, Gomes de sa codfish, was incredible, a dish to br slowly savored. The Portuguese steak, medium-rare, was perfect and so tender. Mashed potatoes were great. The pork in the Alentejana isn’t tender. It’s not advertised as tender. The desserts were delicious, too.

I think Caldeiras is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. First of all, Caldeiras makes you feel like family no matter what your background is. We are not Portuguese but they treat us like family all the same each time we come. The food is out of this world delicious and executed perfectly each time (we have been probably 10 times already). Our go tos are the clams in white sauce and any of the dishes in the Mozambique style. The desserts are also impeccable, special shout out to the flan and the chocolate lava cake. We take all of our family who comes to visit us in the North East to Caldeiras. I want to tell everyone and no one about this special restaurant at the same time so that it does not get spoiled.

I’ve lived in TX for 9 yrs after raising my family in the Fall River, MA area. I had not gone to Caldeiras before I left MA, but, when I first came back to visit, a brother of mine and my sister-in-law took me there. They had been going every week for a few years and raved about it.

Got seated quickly. The waitress was informative. They have a great special on a few days in the week, a bottle of wine and 2 entries for 39.99. The food was really good. We waited 30 minutes or so for our food to come though.

First time at the restaurant and it was really good and I was impressed by there service because most places that have regulars usually seat them First which that is not right but not this family restaurant they sat us according to theist and not put regulars in front of us which is great in my opinion and the food was really excellent so I will be back

Great food but there are service issues that they need to fix. We had a reservation for 5 of us at 7pm. When we arrived at 6:45pm, they told us that we missed our 6pm reservation so they gave our table to others. We had to show them the 7pm confirmation which they apologized for and then we waited 15 minutes for our table. Once seated, we realized that we were sitting at a table to serve 7 so whoever was taking the reservations obviously got confused by the number of people and the time. Our waitress was great but over worked. She had too many tables to treat us all properly. Our food took 30 minutes to arrive. We ate 3 baskets of bread within that time. The food was delicious though and worth the wait.
