I thought the food was quite good but also expensive for a pizza joint. There are other places nearby that offer a similar quantity and quality of food that are less expensive. In either case, I tried the cinnamon donut balls with the raspberry sauce and the spinach feta rolls.

Ordered 2 meals for my kids. The chicken tenders were burnt and smelled burnt. Them the burger had the strangest taste ever, like the meat was bad or something. The fries were good. None the less I had to cook something else for the kids, happy mother’s day to me.

Caliente serves one of the better pizzas in Pittsburgh, better than pretty much everything but the premier places. Service is very slow, as they are chronically understaffed. Overall a worthwhile value, just demands a little patience.

Now I see why this place is voted one of the best places to get pizza in Pittsburgh. I would rate this to be in my top 5 all time best pizza. All 3 of the pizzas we got were amazing. We got Hush Puppies, Spaceballs The Pizza, Big Fat Greek Wedding and the Chicken Ranchero. These pizzas were full of toppings and came out hot and fresh. The dough was really good and thin. The waitress was amazing, knowledgeable and very friendly. Their Hush Puppies are so much better than Long John Silvers. And at the end of our time here, all 4 of us voted Spaceballs The Pizza to he the best one we had this night. We will be back for the 29″ pizza challenge!

Just went here for what i planned to be dinner, we waited 10 minutes to be seated only due to asking if there were available seating. After being sat at a table we waited 15 minutes we were not seen once by a waitress. I understand being not being fully staffed but this was frustrating and I went to another place for dinner. I do not think they even noticed.

Excellent place for some brews and bites. Went with some coworkers to celebrate on an off day and it wasn’t too packed, and of all 4 pizzas we ordered were absolutely phenomenal. It’s a bit out of my way, but I think I’ll absolutely be going back for more. Hopefully soon haha.
