We enjoyed the ultimate omelettes and the muscadine preserves.. our server was excellent as well as the gift shop staff. We enjoyed the view on top of Pine Mountain dining room overlook. Perfect atmosphere. We will return.

I was looking forward to enjoying cat fish dinner with okra and fried green tomatoes. The cat fish was good. It wasn’t outstanding but better than okay. (There are places in the area with better.) The okra was spot on. The fried green tomatoes had no taste. I couldn’t eat them. (I was disappointed because you can’t get fried green tomatoes everywhere.) my husband had pulled pork with fries. He said it was good. I was expecting better because it is Callaway. Everyone talks about Callaway. It wasn’t awful but disappointing. Well the fried green tomatoes were awful. The ice tea is delicious.

A great start to the day. Get there early for a beautiful view looking north in morning light. Excellent service, very friendly and attentive. A good Southern country breakfast. The Sunrise Breakfast had hand made thick sausage patties and I always get hash browns. My wife had the Ultimate Omelet which was very fluffy and thick with a creamy side of grits and, of course, biscuits.

The food was nothing special. The sides lack seasoning, the fried green tomato sandwich was the worse I’ve ever had (Mayo base something with sweet jam, cucumber, cheese, on toast)… my friend enjoyed his pork chops and my side salad and fried okra was good.

The food was excellent! The staff was great. Drive past Callaway Gardens to find it. We had Country steak, chicken pot pie, tuna sandwich, veggies, and Mac and cheese. We couldn’t do dessert because everyone was stuffed.

We try and stop by the Country Kitchen whenever we visit Callaway Gardens! If you are lucky to be seated near the windows, you will be privy to a wonderful view of the Georgia woodlands that encompass the gardens. A few of our favorites are the Chicken Fried Chicken and the French Toast along with of a side of those buttery biscuits with the famous muscadine preserve! The store portion varies by season, but we enjoy it because they typically stock Georgia made apple cider from Hillside Orchard Farms.

Sunrise breakfast: eggs over easy with sausage and hash browns. I love their grits, but opted for has browns and bought a bag of their grits to take home because they’re that good. Their freshly made biscuits melt in your mouth with the sweet butter and muscadine jelly. I could. Have ordered just a plate of biscuits. Fresh, hot food with great service.

Had a great first experience! Our waitress Deona was very lively and fun! She was very courteous and helpful. I had the chicken fried chicken with mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes my wife had the fried pork chops mashed potatoes and greens. Everything was delicious. Xant wait til the next time we travel to pine mountain!
