Authentic, homemade, country cooking at its best! It isn’t gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, low fat, or low salt, but it is made and served with love. And it is delicious! Don’t expect fancy, expensive, or even much air conditioning, but do expect good comfort food from the smiling lady behind the steam table when she says, “What can I get ya, darlin’?”

The food is great. I grew up in a small southern town with great cooks and several things equaled some of the best I have eaten before. The macaroni and cheese may be the best I have ever had. The chicken and dressing was equal to the best and the chocolate pie was as good as my great aunts. The times are a little restrictive for us to get to madison, but we are going to make an effort.

First time eating here and it is AMAZING!!! The lady who I’m assuming runs/owns it was the sweetest! I will DEFINITELY be back!!! I got the chicken and dressing, cabbage,green beans, and mashed potatoes and I don’t believe I’ve been to another restaurant has food as good as Cal’s!

I sure do miss Cal’s Country Kitchen and am thankful Everytime there is a pop-up opportunity to purchase and eat a meal from there!! The food is so very, very good and the quality of the food is extraordinarily EXCELLENT!! It is the best Meat and Three I have ever had!!! You get great quality, quantity and unquestionable loyalty to supreme service!! I sure look forward to my meal from there tomorrow!!
