Beaver Lake “DirtRoad D” Bonner
Ok here is the deal. This is an old time drive in with indoor seating, car service and outdoor tables. They do seafood and they do it right. The dining room is not fancy but it is clean and the service I had was great. The Lobster roll was great, the fried oysters were outstanding and so was the Haddock fish n chips. From the street this place may look a little dumpy but they have fresh seafood of all types that Maine is famous for and they have cooks who can do it right. So if you want good seafood this is a diamond in the rough.

This place should be considered a hidden gem! Do not drive by this place solely on the looks, this is what I would consider a throwback experience. They have car service, indoor and outdoor dining. I got the scallop basket with onion rings and cole slaw, my husband got the Cajun haddock sandwich with the same sides. They do seafood right!! Do yourself a flavor and get here for some great seafood!!

1st time in Maine and visited Cameron’s for dinner. Did not disappoint! Fried calamari as appetizer – delicious! Lobster roll and Lobster BLT with sweet potato fries and coleslaw on each. Served just as ordered! Waitress was very friendly and very helpful! Must visit Cameron’s when in Maine!

This was my first time here, despite living in the area the last three years. I want to put five stars. I really do. But it took quite a while for me to be greeted and the lobster roll was pretty small (and it was their large size). They do give you half a pound but when you’re paying $25 for one, you’d think it would be a pound. But it was quite tasty. Even though it took awhile to be greeted, the server was very nice and accommodating so I’ll give her 5 stars. 🙂

We got there right at opening on a holiday Saturday and were the first amongst a half dozen parties. We sat inside and enjoyed prompt and friendly service. We had a lobster BLT sandwich and a lobster BLT wrap and both were delicious. The sweet potato fries and onion rings benefited from the fresh fry oil. $25 each seems like a very good value.

Honestly not worth it. It’s a pretty spot and food is at most so so. We are just so excited to get some fish and chip but oh boy I was disappointed. The fish is like bits. So tiny. And zero flavor. The sauce they gave us barely enough.
