Canal Park Brewing company is a locally owned family venture. We’ve successfully owned and operated many businesses in the twin ports and the surrounding area for over fifty years. However, creating a brewery on the shore of Lake Superior was a longtime dream. Our ties to the brewing industry in Duluth go back as far as the 1940’s and 1950’s when our great uncle, Maxamillian Herrnberger I, was employed by Fitger’s Brewery. as a treat, he would bring these handcrafted beers and sodas to family gatherings. We salute those who’ve mastered the art of crafting beer and we’ve passed on these rich traditions from one generation to the next. Overall we had a great experience. However due to no one’s fault, the co2 tanks were down. We couldn’t order ANY BEER. I was slightly heart broken but can’t hold that against them.

Stopped in for a quick meal with my family. The service and atmosphere were great. My kids both enjoyed their burgers and fries; my wife had the wild rice bowl and she loved it; my sweet and spicy chicken wrap was super tasty. Beer was top notch too, I especially liked the porter.

Definitively Minnesotan brewery with a fresh menu and varied well-presented tap list. Their definition of “medium” is closer to well done. Fish based and beer based items knocked it out of the park, as did the beet salad. Service was relatively quick, although some items did come out cold.

Super cute brewery right by canal park! Great location, huge windows inside and lots of space outside that looks right out to Lake Superior. Boyfriend and I both got the classic, I added guacamole to mine which was chipotle-level good. I was apprehensive about the fries (I love a good fry) and they were seasoned well with a soft inside and some crisp on the edges.

We stopped in for some dinner and had our dogs with so we sat out at the patio. It took awhile to get seated because they were busy. The food was really good and the mixed drinks were great too. A good place to eat if you have your dogs with. (weather permitting)

Stopped in for a beer and nachos while visiting Duluth! Excellent service. Sitting outside would be too long a wait so we sat inside. IPA and Pilsner beers were very tasty too.

We went here because it was on our Sidewalk Dog beer pass and we’re so glad we did! Both of the beers we had were great. See below for descriptions. The decor is more complex than most brew pubs/gastro pubs and they have cute merch. The waitress we had was friendly, accurate, funny and efficient.

Very busy place! They don’t accept reservations, so you’ll just have to wait to be seated. They told us a 25min wait, but we were seated within 5 min. Burgers were amazing! And so we’re drinks, loved all the beer options they had! Waitress was very friendly!
