We came in with a large group on a Sunday around 1:00. They sat us immediately and took our order quickly. The chips and salsa and drink refills were brought continuously.

We used to eat here often because we were in the area for my daughter’s dance classes, but several years have passed since our last visit. It is still just as good as we remember! Salsa was smooth and flavorful and the chips were crispy. All of our food was served hot, meats were tender, and everything had great flavor. Service was friendly and attentive. Great choice for Mexican!

Being turned away from the seafood place nearby, I stumbled my way in here expecting that Mexican restaurant food in KY will not be up to my expectations since I’m from NV. Wow was I disappointed. Food and staff were better then my traditional restaurant in NV close to the border. A must try is the “Burrito Barzon”. The cheese sauce they smother the Burrito in is to die for.

Nice little place to stop and grab a bite. It deserves the 4.5+ star review on Google. My husband had juevos con chiorizo and I got a combo with a chile relleno on the side. My only regret is that they don’t have a combo meal that includes more variety. The horchata was only so-so but everything else was great. The place was hopping on a Wednesday night so service was a little slow.

I’ll start with the positives. The staff was very kind. My margarita was good. Our waiter caught one of the mistakes (flour tortillas instead of corn) before I had even opened the tortillas and learned they were wrong. He also promptly brought back my child’s plate that was incorrect and the kitchen fixed it very quickly. The issue I had was that the food lacked seasoning. I had to add salt to all our food. On a side note, I don’t like salty food, there was literally zero salt in our food. There wasn’t any of those Mexican spices and flavors coming through like you’d expect. The salsa even tasted like cheap jarred salsa. I was also underwhelmed that there was hardly any shrimp in my shrimp fajitas. I’ve eaten at several different Cancun locations and they’ve piled on the shrimp. This plate was mostly green pepper, some onion, a couple tomatoes and a few shrimp for $20. It wasn’t worth a $41 plus a tip total. Our server deserved his tip, he did a good job. The kitchen needs a refresher in flavoring and seasoning food. I did love the music selection. There were some great Latin classics played. The volume could have been a little louder because you could hardly hear it.

The restaurant was not busy. A server never came. We had to ask. No soap in the restroom. Had to ask. The restaurant sent a birthday coupon for a free desert. They asked for ID, then tried to change the rules of the coupon. This was a terrible experience. We will not be back. Why would you get in the service industry and behave like that. Very bizarre. Please save yourself a trip. You’ll thank me for it.

I don’t often leave feedback and we have been Cancun customers for years but the service has honestly been quite frustrating the last 2-3 times we have visited. This last time, we sat for over 15 minutes before anyone even looked at us. 2 out of 4 of our orders came out wrong. And we were never brought water that was requested multiple times. Then we sat for another 20 minutes, with no communication or update on our order, while half of us got to finish our meal. When we asked to take the corrected items to go because we were finished, I asked to take my remainder margarita to go and was charged for whole other $18 to go margarita. We like this restaurant and the atmosphere, but the service makes it hard to want to return.

Very slow service. We were probably forgotten and server seemed upset that we wanted drink refills and chips during our nearly hour long wait.
