So the food is super fresh and the white queso is awesome but all of our sandwiches/pockets were SOGGY! Mine busted and unfortunately the guacamole on mine was brown. I’m adding a photo of my guac (I thought it was jalapeños at first because of its color) and the other is to show why I think my husbands was so soggy.

Food was good but came out at all different times and they weren’t even busy. Got our appetizer ten minutes after sandwiches. They told us they were heating it up, tasted premade, good, just not authentic. AND……WHO charges for refills anymore? Couldn’t get tea refill because I didn’t have $0.50 and did t want to use card for that. Just silliness. Probably won’t be back.

Overall the aesthetic is there, very inviting. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The food is good depending on what you order, the loaded nachos were not what I expected at all, very bland and distaste. I didn’t expect to get black beans and corn on nachos, it just didn’t work for me.

I love Canela’s. Especially the corn and those milkshakes. It’s a great place to drop by for a quick bite or have a reasonably priced lunch with a friend. And seriously, make sure you get a milkshake. It’ll make your day!

I have NO idea why they have bad reviews. The restaurant is clean, the workers are extremely friendly. The bathroom is pristine. I have always tried tacos at other places but the beef is disgusting. Canela’s has the best beef tacos! And tons to choose from with food and desserts. This place is great! (Just need to turn the music down a tad)

we called our order in and when we got there to pick up the order 20 minutes later which is what we were told the order hadn’t even been turned in. The person who took the order was sitting down playing on their phone.So the person that went to pick the order up had to reorder which took at least another 20 minutes. Not a happy costumer may not be back but I’ve always heard one unsatisfied customer can cause you 10 customers by word of mouth.
