Got a soft pretzel ($6) and the famous fried pickles ($8.50). The pickles were indeed excellent – they were quartered spears, and the breading I believe had dill in it. Very tasty and juicy, not overdone or dried out at all. The soft pretzel was nothing to write home about, but the shop is an overall good stop at the halfway point (4 of 8 miles) of the 185 Lake Shore Loop on Mackinaw Island.

What a cool spot! Right on British landing, the cannonball is a great spot for a halfway stop for fresh burgers, grilled chicken and ice cream. Lots of shady benches for a picnic. Great service. Perfect for families 🙂

Great view and lovely space to sit and rest. Fast service, and the fries were lovely. Pretzel was larger than expected, frozen and reheated, but still tasty after a shrit bike ride.

Cannonball Oasis is a MUST DO on any Mackinac Island trip! We stopped for lunch as we biked around the island. This cute little place has the coolest atmosphere with fun music, beautiful views, and great shady spots to sit and rest before continuing around the island. The food is great (definitely get the chicken!) and the service is exceptional. You can tell the owner and his staff really care about their customers and making sure that the food is good, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is fun! Will definitely stop every time we visit Mackinac Island! Loved it!!

My husband & I had their fried pickles 2 days in a row & loved them! The hot cider is piping hot (be careful) and perfect for the colder months. Their fries & chicken are traditional, deep fried deliciousness & I found out you could have a small wedding there. How unique! I appreciate my cousins & their parents for suggesting this place to us. I thought it was worth it.

Credit cards accepted! Lots of options; very typical American cuisine but done well. Their fried pickles live up to the hype!

Located at the British landing, this is a unique waterfront spot. This would be the perfect location for fish and chips. Unfortunately, the food is more typical of a carnival and doesn’t take advantage of the amazing location.

Amazing food! Great stop after a short bike ride around part of the island. The chicken sandwich and fried pickles are worth a ferry ride to the island in itself!
