We were served by the kindest waiter who asked us to address him as “D.” I regretfully don’t know how to spell his full name, but he helped accommodate us and worked with the manager to ensure we were highly taken care of and given respectful, considerate service.

Went here for the tequila tasting at the bar and ended up staying for dinner. The octopus ceviche was outstanding. The chicken mole was also delicious. I was most impressed by the tequila selection and very authentic margaritas (more lime taste and not overly sweet). Would go here again for sure.

This restaurant is OK, but not great. Overall, the food is good and the beach-front location is beautiful for a sunset dinner. We recommend the tacos al pastor and the quesadilla with steak. However, the two heart burns from our visit were: 1. The guacamole is not made at the table (as advertised on the menu), and 2. They did not dry the wine glass before pouring the wine and bringing it to the table; the waiter made it seem like I was crazy for asking for a dry wine glass

At the Ritz Carlton, with a pool just at your feet, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole and fajitas at an excellent level. If you like spicy the habanero sauce is the one.

Good service, great food, great outdoor seating, dislike the automatic 18% tip when people can just add the amount they think is fair for the service received.

If you go anywhere go see the manager Ivan at the Cantina. He quite literally made our vacation. He was so wonderful to our kids. Sent them a gift mid meal!! They were calling him uncle Ivan by the end of the night. That man will be the #1 reason we come back to stay at the Ritz Key Biscayne. Food was great too. But the service was TOP NOTCH. Ivan made sure we had everything we needed and was genuine. I cannot say enough how wonderful he was to us. We will come back next year and hope to see him again. Wonderful service and genuine care.

For years and years, this was my wife and my happy place. Many fond memories. Like anything, what goes up, must come down. I hadn’t visited here for two years and it took a nose dive.

We went there on a busy Sat aftn after walking along the beach, the server accommodated us with an umbrella shaded beach couch seat. We ordered margarita and beer, the drink was a bit too sweet and too much ice for $18 price tag. Our server was very friendly and offered free chips and salsa while we waited for our food to arrive. The chi Ken fajitas were well flavored but a bit on dry side, but the beef barbacoa tacos were delicious…just wished there was more than 2 on a serving.

Our experience started poorly when our server Kailah came up to us clearly stressed with how her night had been going. She took a big exhale and then asked us if we knew what we wanted and in rapid succession was like “tap water or bottled? Guac or queso with your chips? Any additional drinks yes or no?” Like first of slow down. Hi. It’s my wife’s and I’s one year anniversary. What’s your name? Ugh. What a terrible server. Not even a server, just an order taker. We came in at 8:40pm on Sunday 2/20/23 so I guess she planned on being home by 9pm? Last I checked people came to work to make money not complain about late night tables. Which is exactly what she did to the hostess 5 minutes later when a 4-top sat down next to us. Just rude and with an attitude. When i ordered I mentioned we probably would do churros for dessert and then as we are eating our dinner at 9:23 they came out mid course. She said she had to put them in otherwise the kitchen wouldn’t sent them out. But then as I go to my wife to ask if she still wants them Kailah interrupts and again repeats “i had to put them in or the kitchen wouldn’t send them out!” And walks away. What a joke of a evening. Not what I expected from a place on the site of the Ritz Carlton. We should have gone to Lightkeepers instead. $20 too for tableside guac that wasn’t prepared tableside. Probably because we were on the sand? Looked only like 1.5 avocados worth. The short rib entree was also really fatty. Other places like S3 in Fort Lauderdale give you lean cuts. What I hated too was the 18% gratuity that gave Kailah the freedom to act however she wanted. I should have written in 10 percent instead since that’s the lowest I am willing to give poor service. But I read that portion of the check too late. Either way skip this place entirely please! Does not deserve anyone’s patronage if this is how service is run.
