The food is beautifully presented. The time we went was not busy. The music was VERY loud and made visiting and conversation impossible. I would likely not return simply because of the technobeat latina music at much to high a volume. The portion sizes are appropriate, food is fresh.

This is a must try for anyone looking for quality, amazing food. Service was excellent and the food was like nothing I’ve ever tried before. This is truly the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever tried. If you’re looking to satisfy your taste buds you need to try this place. It was so fancy and the overall experience was amazing. Please try this place if you’re looking for a good time will come again.

By far the best Mexican food north of 380! The salsa was dark and delicious, the elote was a great starter. The mango margaritas are the best in town. We ordered the garlic shrimp, the chef did not disappoint. We also ordered a taco of Birria, Pastor, Carne Asada, Barbacoa, and Carnitas. All the tacos came on homemade corn tortillas. My favorite was the tacos de Pastor! The chocolate cheesecake with ice cream finished the meal off strong.

Let’s begin with the level of waitstaff professionalism. First, let me say that our waiter was kind faced and polite, but has no real training in waiting on people. We were given lunch menus, but then told we could not order lunch. We asked for a recommendation on the menu and he immediately went for the most expensive item, but had no accurate description of the suggested plate. I will assume it was due to price rather than flavor or techniques. Our waiter also did not have the finesse of making sure we had plates on the table when we were delivered our appetizer which was nachos on the appetizer menu. We paid $15 for three tablespoons of guacamole and six, 2 1/2 to 3 in chips made like mini tostadas. Seemed very pricey in my opinion for nachos. The salsa that is delivered to your table, complimentary, was extremely full of chili powder. This salsa is definitely not a fresh diced up salsa. We had a 5-year-old with us, who ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla; however, when it was delivered, the plate was full plate of rice and beans with a half tortilla full chicken and cheese but not cut up like quesadillas are. The quesadilla was rather slimy and hot as if it were steamed. She wouldn’t eat it,nor could she handle it with her hands. There needs to be a note here that the atmosphere is wonderful, the decor is crisp and clean, there is a bar that looks stocked with your tequila and margarita fixins, and the music is lively, even if it was a little bit too loud for such a small place in my opinion. It certainly was not the worst part of our visit. My plate was chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce, jalapeno drizzle, rice and beans. It is my go-to for any Mexican food restaurant as is the salsa. I feel that if they can’t get salsa and chips correct or something as simple as sour cream enchiladas, the rest of it is probably pretty sad. That being said, the sour cream sauce was sweet and nothing on my plate was overly flavorful. The chicken was not shredded or chopped in the tortilla, the corn tortilla was not cooked, and the spinach that I had them add to my enchilada, at $2.50, was overcooked. That brings me to the second plate of a young woman that was with me, who ordered the taco salad in a flour tortilla shell. At least a third of the top rim of her taco shell was burned, there was very little lettuce on her salad part, and there were huge chunks of green bell pepper that were overcooked underneath the lettuce. I’m not quite sure what meat was called steak at this point, but it was extremely gristly with no texture and did not taste like steak. We had to return her food. They did as a good measure take that food off of our extremely high receipt for lunch. The gentleman the gentleman who suggested this place, had chicken quesadillas and they were just fine. They were on a very large tortilla folded filled and cut like usual. Our lunch was tallied at almost $70. I will not recommend this place and Hope that they will update their cook and train their wait staff. It’s a shame in my opinion because I was really looking forward to a really nice Mexican food restaurant. I will not stopping Anna, but will continue to go to McKinney and visit San Miguel’s Mexican Grill. Cantina line could do good by visiting San Miguel for a lesson in what service and quality food looks like and tastes like.

I’m giving it a 5 stars because the quality was good and the place was clean and the staff was super friendly. The salsa is roasted a bit too much for my liking but the chips are good. I had the carne guisada. Again, the quality was good and they said the corn tortillas are home made however they don’t taste like it.

Seriously the best non-Texmex place to eat in all of Collin County. 1,000 times better than Gloria’s. Their spicy cucumber margarita and cheese chili relleno are to die for. Not to mention the churros
