We came for the frozen espresso martinis and they were the BEST I’ve ever had.. BUT.. they are STRONG i finally fell asleep 24 hours later and was awake the whole time and never slept that night. who needs a vodka red bull when you can have two of those.. for anyone who doesn’t drink coffee on the regular , they are delicious and you will want a second but stick to one. The food was outstanding we order the octopus app twice bc it was so amazing. Highly recommend

We came in on a Friday night with a reservation. The restaurant was packed and we were seated within range of our reservation. We ordered the burrata, mussels, and rice balls to start – all were amazing. Rice balls were my favorite. For entrees, we went family style and shared the lasagna, lobster risotto (special), truffle gnocchi, and butternut squash ravioli. I would skip the risotto but the others were delicious. And you can’t forget about the frozen espresso martinis – I had been looking forward to trying them and they didn’t disappoint! They were a bit small though. For dessert, we shared the creme brulee and cheesecake – both of which were delicious and good for sharing… though I think we could’ve done one for the four of us.

We had such a great experience at Canto! I started with the frozen espresso martini which was delicious. For the second drink I ordered the Monte Carlo, which is very refreshing! We ordered three small plates to share, including the bruschetta which was very flavorful. For dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate soufflé! Staff were very attentive and vibe is very laid-back and cozy. We went on a Friday and it did get a bit loud as it got busy. If that going to be an issue, consider coming on a quieter night.

I cannot say better things about Canto. I’ve loved the food (favorite is the tagliatelle bolognese), drinks (favorite is the frozen espresso martini), and ambience since I first went a year ago. I recently held a birthday party in the back room for around 20 people and it was an absolute dream. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to hold an intimate birthday dinner with more than enough food and drinks to go around. Djamel and his team were extremely easy to coordinate with and made it an extremely special event!

Hosted a baby shower/brunch on Saturday In their private room…Perfect for intimate events. Food on point and service was exceptional. We had more guests than anticipated and they accommodated us with no issues or disruptions. Everyone can’t wait to go back!

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The restaurant is not for anyone who doesn’t want to party like a college student. Extremely loud music makes it impossible to have a conversation. The service was awful. My party had a reservation two weeks in advance and we were seated 45 minutes after the scheduled reservation. Most of our entrees arrived cold. Mistakes were made to the order and staff responded with bad attitude. When asking to speak to the owner he refused to come speak to us even though he was talking to customers at other tables. Someone from my party approached him and he could not have cared less about her concerns.

We ended up sitting at the bar and loved the food and service. Recommend making a reservation if you plan on going during dinner hours. The pasta and seafood were excellent and was all around a great venue for a date. We’ll be returning soon!

Canto was already one of my favorite new spots in the West Village, but even more so now after doing a group dinner there! Djamel and team were so hospitable and easy to work with in helping me set up a dinner in their private room for 17 guests. As always, the food was top notch and timed perfectly (which you worry about when doing a group dinner). My favorites are the pesto and carbonara but all the pastas are so so good!!! The room was intimate, beautifully decorated and overall a great vibe. Great spot for a group dinner with up to 15 friends (we squeezed 17) for a birthday, bachelorette, engagement, etc! Will absolutely be coming back to dine their or do another dinner soon.
