This is one of the most important Chinese food establishments in New England if not the country, that’s just my personal opinion but I’ve hunted down a lot of good Chinese food over the years, and I’ve had many disappointments along the way, largely due to my previous high expectations and superior experience with Canton Village.

Giving 1 star because thats the lowest you can go. Upon walking in you are punched in the face with the strongest smell of pee possible. You walk into a small room with a bar, and a couple tables, and a table on the other side by a tarped area. Online says they are a buffet but they are not. I can’t say as to the food because we didn’t get that far. The pee smell was so bad that we turned around and left.

The family running this restaurant is very friendly and welcoming. The food portions are amazing for the price! It’s definitely the best Chinese American food around. I ordered the Pu Pu Platter and it was more than filling. I have also ordered their dumplings before. They taste really good with the dumpling sauce and spicy oil.

We went because it used to be buffet, but it appears it is no longer, though it still says it is on Facebook. We went on Christmas, and the place was hopping. We must have hit it just right to dine in, because they don’t have many tables, and they filled right up. Food was pretty good, service was good and pretty quick, though take out was backed up by about 40 minutes. Don’t know if that is a regular occurrence or just because of the holiday. I had sworn this place off years ago, due to their buffet always being lousy, but decided to try again, and this has given this place a second chance for me. I will continue to give it a chance for now.

We are from Maine and are back for the first time in 3 years. Canton used to be one of our favorite places to go. Always was great service, food and cocktails. We decided to meet up with friends there last night. We walked in to find the lobby and bar area packed with people and the dining room closed. It was loud, chaotic and smelled like pot. Nothing was like it used to be. Once we saw the dining room was closed off with a piece of plastic we left. Hell no. So disappointed because we always loved going here. Can’t speak for the food because we didn’t stick around long enough to order. Went elsewhere.

Best Chinese Food in the area. As a tourist, the local patrons seemed unpleasant. The staff was awesome, food was good for Maine Chinese Food (not as good as Boston area restaurants). We got takeout.
