Great food, indoor & outdoor seating, friendly staff, nice decor, quick service, and awesome background music. I had the beef burger w/pepper jack cheese and bacon. Wife had the Caponata & Swiss sandwich. We both had fries, she drank their iced tea while I had a sprite. Everything was really good and I would recommend going here instead of any of those places right off of hwy 1. We will be back for breakfast next time we pass through the area.

Only spot in Duncan’s Mills for breakfast or lunch. Cute patio in the back, pretty good food selection and friendly (all business) servers. Had the ham and swiss, which was served cold and a little dry; side salad was good. $16 for a very basic sandwich seems a tad much but given the location, expected.

All part of Duncans, Mills, and very small Qwaint group of stores and one little restaurant if you’re coming out this way great place for lunch the food was great a little short on the service because of their location and it’s hard to find employees these days the owner and his staff work very very hard and put out a great product Enjoyed ourselves very much. I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was amazing. The salad was great that came with it. My friend Mike had fish and chips. He didn’t say a word for half an hour so busy eating. Tandoori chicken sandwich for my wife and quote her. It was amazing.

Very friendly and polite staff..old school sincerely polite attitude.. awesome. Bread, oil, vinegar plus salad served ahead of entrees… entrees pretty good. But…it took a good 40 minutes before salad was served and another half hour before entrees were served. Perhaps the kitchen staff was short-handed the night we dined. Restaurant was probably 1/3 full when we were seated and 2/3 full when we left. Other tables food orders appeared to take a very long time from order to see delivery.

The food was great. Had the hangtown scramble which was delicious. My son got the salmon and eggs which was also very tasty. Duncans Mills is a sweet little stop with shops, a bakery, a bar… Well worth a visit if you are in the valley.

I had an awesome baked veggie panini with home made focaccia bread with a bit of pepper Jack cheese. Delicious and perfect eating on the back patio. The main waiter was pretty busy but very accommodating. I will return.

Holy peanut sauce!! The Thai noodles – HUGE PORTION – were amazing!! And the burger was on-point with sweet potato fries. Everything is made fresh to order so be prepared to wait if it’s really busy. Outdoor patio and indoor dining available. They serve tea from right next door and have Bella Rosa coffee. A must in Duncans Mills!

Very cute old-time atmosphere and they also have outdoor seating. We ate here twice during our 4 night local stay. Everything we had was amazing. Shrimp and Grits was definitely the best I’ve had outside of New Orleans. It was spicy but even I could handle it (I don’t usually tolerate spicy) and I ordered it both nights! The hamburger was terrific, as was their Mahogany Pork (which was a special but they also have Mahogany Chicken which is probably just as good). We also had the Walnut Crusted Goat Cheese which was an amazing appetizer, but could also be a dessert.

I’ve lived in the area for decades and Cape Fear was for many of those years my favorite restaurant. I would call ahead to make sure that my favorite chef was there.
