Fabulous food, service, and atmosphere! The shrimp and grits and crab cakes were amazing. The calabash fried seafood was excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant! We will be regulars. Alex our server was great. He was helpful and attentive. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place is cozy and the staff were all wonderful. The food is not the greatest though. I should specifically add I was so looking forward to having fresh crab dip but it was overly salty and the pita chips were also pure salt and almost inedible. The calamari was also not good (would not order again) and the Thai shrimp was a 3/5. I would skip appetizers next time (or get none of these 3). The broiled seafood platter was a great option, although it lacked some seasoning, I would definitely order it again! I recommend upgrading your side to the risotto as it was cooked to perfection. I think this is the definition of hit or miss but the menu is large and there are tons of other options to choose from so all in all I will be giving it another try!

Average food at a premium price. We came here with a group of 6 for a birthday. Overall, the food was okay. We all got different dishes. The drinks took an excessively long time to come from the bar. The drinks were not balanced, and the old fashioned was not good at all (not to mention it is $14). My fiancé got the espresso brownie sundae, and it was just butter and liquid when it got to the table. There were also a lot of flies inside this place, and that was incredibly annoying while trying to eat. They do nothing special for birthdays. They asked when I made the reservation, and I told them the occasion. No staff member even mentioned it so why even ask? I had high hopes for this place, but at the price point they want, it needs a lot of improvement to be worth it. 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and one dessert cost $90 before the tip. Not worth it.

We were looking forward to a nice seafood dinner for our date night after hearing rave reviews from friends, and Cape Fear did NOT disappoint! We came hungry and tried their hushpuppies and crab scampi risotto (highly recommend), split a small bowl of the roasted red pepper and crab bisque (I’m not even a soup fan and I loved it), and then we got shrimp & grits and the lobster & shrimp risotto for our mains. The portions were generous, and everything was served piping hot. Our server was great about coming and checking on us multiple times. We can’t wait to go back and try all their different dishes, but mostly we can’t wait for our leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Perfect place for a seafood dinner. Everyone loved their dishes and found the portions satisfying. The service & atmosphere were excellent. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as people were turned away at the door due to the restaurant being booked for the night.

First time here and we will be back a LOT. The crab cake risotto app was PHENOMENAL. Snow crab legs – delicious. Shrimp and grits – great. The margaritas were amazing and only $6 on special. Our kids left happy as well. Can’t wait to try so much more of the menu, as it all looks amazing.

Hoping our ok experience was just a one-off because I was excited to have a seafood restaurant in WF. I‘m a huge fan of scallops and the waitress recommended the New Bedford scallops. The scallops were on the smaller side and they looked to be over seared but did not have a crusted texture at alllll. The risotto and asparagus were good, but the scallops were lacking so I probably wouldn’t order again. The restaurant itself is nice but we were constantly trying to shoo flies away while we were eating.

Wifey and I went here for her birthday celebration. Had the crab shrimp risotto appetizer. Wow.. awesome choice. She had the shrimp and grits. She absolutely loves theirs and has declared that as the best she’s ever had. I got a shrimp plate. Good portion size and was really good. To cap the celebration off we had the Expresso brownie sundae. Another wow dish… Sam our waiter was professional and personable. Steered us towards the above. We will be going back for sure.

Really enjoyed the dinner tonight. Lindsey our waitress was wonderful and very knowledgeable about menu items. Fried shrimp and fried flounder was excellent. Lightly breaded and fried perfect. (Not greasy) Hushpuppies we’re great. Key lime pie for desert was awesome. Give them a visit. We will be back soon.
