Capers’ ownership group has been working together creating culinary experiences for groups and individuals since 1982 while working for the Little Rock landmark restaurant and entertainment venue, Cajun’s Wharf. We opened Capers Restaurant on Hwy.10 in Little Rock the fall of 1997.

Capers has become notable in the circles of food and wine enthusiasts since we opened. We have won many accolades for Best Outside Dining, Most Romantic, Best Wine List and many others. We have also been the recipient of Wine Spectators Award of Excellence 14 years running. Great little restaurant right off of Cantrell with fine dining, and so many delicious food items to choose from. The blackened chicken, Caesar salad was fantastic and the hot rolls they bring to the table was delicious. The service was a little scattered, and our food came an hour after we ordered it.

We recently dined here following my sister’s college graduation. I ordered the grilled salmon, which was amazing. They don’t have a cocktail menu, but the drinks we ordered were pretty good also. I am giving this place three (3) stars not because of the food, but for the quality of the service we received. We made a reservation ahead of time because we knew we would have a large group. We were seated in one of the private rooms available, which was nice. There were several errors with some of our orders and our servers were forgetting to bring out items that we ordered. I’ve previously worked as a server and am aware of how difficult and even overwhelming it can be to serve a large group of guests so I am able to extend some grace. However, the servers who were helping us were visibly annoyed and frustrated with us, and there was no demonstration of accountability when we brought the errors to their attention. The food and drinks were pretty good, but I doubt I would return to dine here as I did not feel valued or appreciated as a guest. Given the experience we had, I would definitely not recommend dining here if you have a large group.

Amazing food and great service from Kyle! My wife had shrimp and grits, with a coconut cream pie. I had a filet mignon Oscar and the white chocolate bread pudding. The steak was cooked medium per my request and the flavors were delightful. Best bread pudding I’ve ever had!

First visit to Capers. Our waitress Casey was great. She helped us make our meal amazing. We started with warm pear salad and the Arkansas salad. Entrees of walleye and filet mignon were amazing. We tried the chocolate creme brulee, it was great,but you need to really love choBrule. We did take a piece of coconut cream pie home. We will be back.
