A great seafood spot near the beach. Amazing seafood. Great portions. Love the bay view. Quintessential New England. Outside dining options available too. They have a good sized menu too. A must try

We love Cap’n Jack’s. We live down the road and are guilty to say we are there at least once a week if not 2 times. They are excellent with our oldest son and so accommodating. We have never been disappointed with our food or our service. It doesn’t matter if we catch them at a slow time or when the entire place is packed.. the food is always delicious and consistent.

The food and service here have gone hill over the years. I ordered the fish and chip special. The chowder was watery, and the fish was not good. The only thing that was good was the clam cakes. There were 10 of us, and it took 2 hours from the time we sat until we were done, and it wasn’t that busy. I dont blame the waitress. My sister in laws sandwich had a hair in it. I will not be going back there. I have been going there for over 40 years.

Seafood was very good. Went with large group; everyone was happy with food (except the vegetarian who ordered pizza and did not like it). Service was sketchy. Not a single glass, bottle, appetizer plate, or dinner plate was cleared until after we left.

Ate on the patio, which could have used a bit more shade. Shared crab cakes, calamari, and stuffies for appetizers. Had fish and chips for entree. Everything was cooked right with good ingredients. Everyone was satisfied with their entrees and the appetizers. Tables available on a late Sunday afternoon.

We went to the Pub which serves the same excellent food. Excellent service and reasonable prices, well worth the trip. The main restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday so it’s worth knowing that you can get the same food at the Pub. And there’s ice cream right next door for the kids, big or small!

While venturing out and about from CT, decided to try somewhere new. Let me just say the 4.7 star rating doesn’t do it justice. I got my usual fish n chips, it was Haddock and absolutely fantastic! Even the coleslaw was good and I usually don’t eat it! I honestly wish I had room for their fabulous desserts but I’m so stuffed! Use to go out to Narragansett for this type of meal but will now definitely make this the new place!! Can’t wait till next time!!!

My wife and I wanted to go to the famous Mantunuck Oyster Bar but they were jammed packed. We had to leave and saw this place down the road. We were hesitant at first after seeing the star rating and reading through the reviews. Man! We were very pleasantly surprised. Calamari were fluffy and light, not overly seasoned. Clam chowder was also light and well seasoned. Fish and chips were excellent! Everything was extremely fresh and tasty. Our waitress Nancy was also very attentive and caring. My wife and I were glad to stumble upon this little gem. I would recommend anyone to come in here to give them a chance!

Came here at 11 am on a Saturday right at opening. Staff were ready to welcome us in. We opted to sit outdoors which was a patio overlooking a salt marsh. The server was friendly and made sure that we were doing well, she even came to talk to us about the bunnies and the birds that hang out in the area.
