I very rarely write a review for anything so for me to do so means it was either exponentially delightful or absolutely horrible. This place is absolutely amazing! The salad was SO good, the cheese sticks were superb and the pizza was delicious! We ordered the NY Style, half cheese and half Cappy’s Special. We didn’t have any leftovers and it was 100% approved by my hungry kiddos. Perfect stop after leaving Busch Gardens or Adventure Island. The service was on point and prompt! The atmosphere was lovely! The food came out piping hot! We absolutely enjoyed our experience and will definitely be coming back to try their deep dish!! Also the bathrooms were SUPER clean and well maintained, which is always appreciated and isn’t always the case. Seriously go and give it a try, I doubt you will regret it!

So I had the Chicago style pizza. It is an attempt, but not what you would expect. It was tasty, and I would go again, but not order it again. After eating at Gino’s East in Chicago, I have something to compare all pizzerias who claim to make Chicago style to, and unfortunately, this ain’t it. But the people are friendly and nice and the salad and beer was good, and like I said it was tasty.

Super friendly staff and delicious Chicago deep dish pizza! Cheese deep dish pizza, cheesy bread, and Spinach salad (spectacular flavor of feta, walnuts, and a balsamic vinaigrette). Yum, yum!!

My husband ordered pizza for the first time today. They messed up the tomato sauce so much it was a shock. They gave almost no pepperoni at all. they didn’t cut the pizza. I ate one piece. the worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. The mere sight of it deters me from eating. the first and the last time!

Always fantastic… only real place to get Chicago style in Tampa area. Been here since they first opened and the consistency is spot on. You just gave be aware of their hours of operation and realize that Chicago style take around 30-45min to get it to perfection. So plan accordingly.

Enjoyed the pepperoni and bacon most (the bacon bits were nice) the chicken and pineapple was odd, but so was my companion’s decision to get it. Service was very good. A bit slow to receive, but I don’t complain when the food comes out hot.(it seemed takeout orders were a priority) half the staff were wearing masks.

Cappy’s pizza continues to be my family’s favorite spot, even after moving 2 hours away! We always find a way to squeeze in a stop whenever we come to Tampa. Their menu is small, but they’ve perfected everything on it. Delicious dough, always fresh ingredients, laid back atmosphere, and the servers are always attentive and very nice. Highly recommend.
