Stumbled across this on our travels. I’m from GA and it was home away from home!! DELICIOUS. Worth the stop! Cute outdoor patio. Friendly and quick service. We got the tri tip sandwich (fav), pork plate, and chili cheese dog.

If I could leave zero stars, I would! This place is an absolute joke— the owner last minute (literally a WEEK) out from my sisters wedding of 150 people, backed out from catering after going back and forth for months agreeing to cater! After my sisters fiancé had to track this guy down to get confirmation, the owner backed out and told him, “That’s life” and proceeded to hang up on him. Now we are scrambling trying to find a solution to feed 150 people, and this guy is out on a reasonably high amount of change due to his lack of communication and courtesy to my family. Don’t even waste your time trying to get this guy to cater for you— I haven’t even tried his food, but I bet it absolutely sucks if this how he operates his business! ZERO stars and I hope anyone who reads this review does not support this guy and his business!

Attending an event should be a joyous occasion, but our recent experience with Capt Ron’s Smokehouse turned it into a nightmare. The BBQ we received was not only cold but also led to my daughter suffering from food poisoning, which is simply unacceptable. Frankly, if I wanted to go to Costco and slap some BBQ sauce on raw meat, I would have done that. This was supposed to be a professional catering service, and it severely disappointed. I urge potential customers to think twice before considering Capt Ron’s for their events. Safety and quality should always be paramount in the food industry, and it appears this establishment has overlooked both.

Thought it would be better but not the best I had, pulled pork was just okay and the mac seemed a little runny but then found a fly in my mac after I took a few bites but was too late to take it back because we were 30 minutes away heading towards Jackson.

This place is SO GOOD! The people are awesome. The food is as good as you can get. I call on my way through town and it is ready to go when I get there. It is some of the best food I have ever had. You will see this place on a tv show some day!
