A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. They should’ve left the Long John’s and closed this place down instead. Ordered TWO 2pc fish & fries, I got ONE piece in one and 2 in the other. How do you mess up counting to TWO??? Try calling the place and it’s a constant busy signal so, I’m guessing they have so many complaints they just took the phone off the hook. Understandable. Won’t be back.

I really like this place. The food is always good. The service is good,and the price is very affordable. A good place for a fast lunch or dinner. It’s location is great on fifth Ave and there is plants of parking, or u can go through the drive through. I recommend trying it.

5-22-2022 Went there tonight and was so disappointed…I couldn’t even tell if it was chicken or fish, took it back up there and they insured me it was fish, said they had to settle for a lesser quality of fish because of supply issues, but it was the same price…ice machine slings ice all over the floor, and it wasn’t all that clean…Used to be the best in town. Prices going up but the quality is getting worse….

The seafood feast I ordered had crabs that were overcooked and greasy, as well as the hushpuppies. Water all over the floor at the drink station. It was apparently not running correctly because it had no ice. The rest of the food was okay, and I like that they bring it out to you.

I I took my emotional support animal in the store with me to the back section which is registered and everything very obedient and weren’t bothering anyone and after we got served our food the general manager came over and said very rudely next time just so you know u cant bring that animal in here. She said it has to have a vest on and she does not have to at all as long as she is registered and I have that proof which I did. She didn’t even want to look at my proof she was just rude and disrespectful. It wouldn’t have been an issue had she had a little respect and been nicer about it.

Awesome food.. But today wasn’t so great. Did not get what I ordered and seen that they don’t close the lid on the ice machine, and there ceiling is pretty dusty and dirty to be falling on top of the ice. The sink in the ladies room was filthy.

Today was the worse eating out experience I have ever had. One girl taking orders working the window and the front. I ordered the Deluxe seafood platter. The green beans were cold and scribbled up. The baked potato wouldn’t melt the butter and it had to be at least a day old or more. The stuffed crabs were left over from yesterday or more. My fish was OK and the shrimp were OK. The broccoli was just warmed up in microwave. Corn on cob was pretty good but the butter wouldn’t melt. The tables needed cleaned off. I wiped ours off with paper towels and the water I was going to drink. Next was the NASTY bathroom. The seats were covered with feces and urine. I was really looking forward to earing out but won’t be coming back .
