At our Greenville, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

First time in years eating here, I had the fish sandwich and it was actual fish not a square fish patty! It was beyond delicious although the buns were too thick for my liking. This place deserves a major remodel!! Great service food hot and fresh, will be returning.

Tried the Seafood Trio for lunch today, (Two fish Tenders, One Batter Dipped Fish Filet, Three Butterfly Shrimp and two sides) the food was served hot, fresh, and delicious. There was a little wait, but the wait was well worth it. The new Spicy Fish is very tasty, not overly hot, but it has a nice flavor and crispy breading! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was clean. This was a very filling and budget friendly meal, only $6.99 plus tax.. Will return here again in the future.

Extremely rude service. The young lady in the drive thru was highly rude and very unprofessional. I attempted to place an order at the drive thru and she cut me off while I was ordering and when I asked for an alternative sauce rather than what is on the sandwich her response to me was “You ask for the sauce at the window “ so I proceeded to the window and the rudeness began. She would not let me complete my order although there was literally no one in line behind me. So I opted to move in without the order because of the service is this horrible, there is absolutely no way I would trust them with preparing and handling my food! The drive thru window was busted out and there was a piece of card board in its place, so that alone speaks volume!

The portions was very small for the price that you are paying. The fish was over cooked and hard and looked like fish sticks. The gumbo tasted very bad like it wasn’t fresh. It was soupy and tasted like it was cooked in dirty water. However the service was good and the veggies were cooked well.

Food was awesome, but I got leaked on from the ceiling. My daughter almost slipped in a puddle of water that had accumulated on the floor. Some places on the floor were very sticky.

The employees were friendly and attentive..the food was cooked to order was they brought the food to the table because we all dined in..they had a huge variety of items to choose from..it was worth the drive there..I will definitely return for more dine in sessions I’m the future..the service was prompt, fast, and accurate..I was stuffed when I was a happy customer when I was done after my meal

Fries and okra cold and waxy taste. Fish and hushpuppies was hot and fresh. The atmosphere was like the north pole. We tried to eat inside but, had to take our food and eat in the car. Then someone did the same thing. It felt like it was 17 degrees inside and 82 outside. Very disappointing this time because we bragged about this place for about 2 years to everyone else.

Ordered $45 worth of food, they forgot to put one of the plates in the bag. Drove all the way back to the store and one guy in the back keeps saying he fixed 2 plates. Yeah, but one didn’t get put in the bag. Mistakes happen but a word of advice, don’t try to call your customers liars.

Oh I’m in love with fish, shrimp and fries combo! With salad to go with it, totally amazing. I just hope they didn’t forget my dressing for the salad. I still ate it regardless. I didn’t realize the dressing was missing until I was ready to eat the salad, almost done with my fish and shrimp. Got nice crew who served us too.
