At our Monroe, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

1st time in . I usually just drive by! Well, i just left a review however, again this group of young kids are doing great over here. I gave them some advice and they received it well. Dont place plastic wrapped cutlery on people fresh food. As a consumer comming in foe the first time, I dont know if it feel on the floor prior to reaching my plate” , We are still in a covid era where cleanliness has to be the key. No cross contamination of any kind. The salmon was prepared perfectly, along with the sides. Okra and slaw. The advice was received and not met with an attitude. Thank you for overstanding and keep up the good work food was good.

First time visiting Captain D’s and was pleasantly surprised. Placed an order online for later pickup and it was ready pretty quickly after letting them know I was there. And the fried pickles were very yummy.

Food is fresh and hot. Always stop in on the way back from Charlotte. Food is always good. Employees are always nice. Only Captain D’s that still bread their own calabash shrimp. Others was frozen which is why only eat from this one.

There was only one vehicle ahead of me in the drive-thru, and it took me 12 minutes to get from the menu to the window. Before that day, I had never had to pay extra for tarter sauce. Over $2 was a bit ridiculous. The $10+ for 4 pieces of fish and a small Pepsi wouldn’t have seemed so outrageous if the fish would’ve been bigger. Two of the four pieces were not much bigger around than a finger. I was glad however to see the score from the health department was very good.. 98, I think. Of course, I’ll go back .. hopefully it will be better next time.

Some of the food was hot and fresh however the Mac n cheese was cold the green beans had chunks.of burnt rockish type things in them The service was kind of horrible We waited about 35 minutes and it was us and one gentleman waiting on food (which the guy had been their about an hour for one plate bc they gave his food to someone else) there was no excuse as I have been a manager at a restaurant before this was ridiculous It was a bunch of teenagers / young adults playing around and just being lazy not wanting to be at work. Me and our 3 of our kids wanted to make it perfect for my husband he didn’t want to go anywhere fancy he wanted Captain D’s which seemed easy enough but it just wasn’t I wish I would have asked for my money back after waiting half the time but I was like” we waited this long might as well wait the rest ” The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful and very good which was the only good thing however the man told me that was ketchups on the table and it was not ketchup idk it was just a very bad experience especially on father’s day and Captain D’s of all places was not nearly as busy as everywhere else

The green beans are always well and properly seasoned, extra sauces are no problem, and this location not only lets you dine indoors, but will also give one regular and one spicy in your two-piece meal. The best sit-down with a styrofoam plate and plastic forks EVAR.
