At our Pineville, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Y’all need to up date your hours at the front entrance! Drive thru window hours posted is saying your closed on Sunday. And front door is saying your open 10:45am till 10:00pm definitely needs to be updated!

Went thru drive thru today.. Sign on door saying dining room closed. Ordered two fish dinners and a medium tea. My husband asked for a courtesy cup of water. Person taking order said you can buy a cup of water for .fifteen cents. We have gotten courtesy cups of water at other Captain Ds before but we said no problem. My husbanded decided that he wanted to eat in the parking lot. Food was okay. Fries were barely warm.Tea was basically a cup of ice so I decided I would get a refill. Had to walk to window and I asked the woman there if I could get a refill. She said you can buy another tea and refused to give me a refill. I told her that I would not be back to that Captain D’s again. She told me to have a nice day. My bill total was $24.59. Surely Captain Ds can give a senior citizen five cent worth a tea. Clearly girl at window didn’t care if I came back or not. By the way, there was no one in line, and it was around 4:20pm.

This place is a mess. The fish is hit or miss, and some employees are nice. Not sure why they close at 8 pm, when all other locations stay open until 10 or 11. I don’t think the dining room is open, which makes me question the cleanliness. Whoever owns this location is a loser

This place is trash and I posted a picture so ppl don’t think that I’m being petty. How are the manger that checks the food before it comes out. And sell it to someone not kool at all. Like all my food was over cook and re cook. I will never go here again. Food was not good and very very greasey.

The dining room was closed! The year is 2023! No excuse. Just lost out on a 40 dollar order! Now that I’m looking at other reviews, I guess not being able to eat inside was a blessing in disguise whereas we probably would have received reheated food!

There’s no reason To still have your donning room closed. The gentleman at the window was rude. He acted like he did not want to help me. and that I was a bother to him. I don’t like the idea of standing at the drive-through window to place an order but I cannot get my semi through the drive-through. I ordered a large fish sandwich which only came with 5 fries. Is there a tater shortage nobody’s told me about. Very disappointed looked forward for this all week.

The staff here are extremely rude so don’t expect to be treated well here, I love captain ds but this place need some new staff, the woman at the drive thru intercom was extremely rude like she didn’t care nor did she want to be there, she asked us if we would like any sauces and went to tell her that I would like tarter sauce and she closed the window in my face, I am absolutely upset at the way me and my family were treated here.

I ordered the deluxe seafood platter and thought that the long wait was due to the fact that they were cooking my food fresh. The fish was so hard I couldn’t even eat it. The crab was semi-warm. The shrimp was good. The hush puppies were excellent. The employee dropped my credit card when handing it back to me and it landed in a pile of ketchup on the ground. Definitely not the Captain D’s I remember. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Fish was hot and fresh. Neither green beans nor Cole slaw container were full. For the price expected full servings. Drink machine didn’t work so the only option was water and tea.
