At our Lumberton, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We truly enjoyed our experience at this Captain D’s. It was the closest store to 95 South. The fam was craving fish. Our food was hot and the fish sandwich is the size of a catchers mitt. I thank the cook and the manager. Thank you Lumberton Captain D’s❤️

My fish was hard and tasted like a fish stick from the super market. After asking for extra tarter sauce, I was told that there was extra in the bag. There was only one… for four pieces of burnt fish! My fries were cold and the hush puppies were not cooked all the way through. Don’t bother spending your hard earned money here.

I had gone through drive thru, no one was in line at all and I sat at the speaker for 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer . I even said hello to see if I could get a response several times and nothing. So I drove away and went to get real seafood from pier 41 and their service was immediate and wonderful and food was delicious!!

Ok, I ordered a fish & chicken combo. My fries were cold and old, I got 2 half pieces of fish and even worse, they gave me chicken tenders!!! Like the frozen small chicken tenders from Aldis. Ummmm…. If you didn’t have battered chicken, you should’ve said something when I ordered my food. And I would’ve either chosen another meal or another restaurant. NEVER going again!!!!

I arrived 9:20 and the door said 10pm closing.They closed down grease 40 mins before closing time which was 10pm . They said it would take 15 mins to heat back up. I wanted 3 fish and shrimp plates. But they only offered chicken fingers. I was SUPER DISAPPOINTED . I left and went to Kentucky fried chicken across the street but I really wanted fish and shrimp!!!
