At our Moncks Corner, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I rarely give fast food 5 stars. But the service was amazing today. Not sure if it is always good but I hope so. Food was cooked appropriately and came out fast even with the drive thru being packed. Seems like good management.

I waited almost an hour in drive through. This was the worst ever. There was 3 workers up front on their phones when I got to the drive thru window. If they was short in the back some of them could have gone in the back to help. I don’t know what was the hold up and I disnt ask because I didn’t want noone to do something to the food I was picking up for someone. My attitude changed when I left there. I was short with everyone I saw after that visit at Captain Ds.

Food was nothing to write home about. I tried the garlic and herb shrimp and fish plate. The best thing on the plate was the French fries and mac & cheese. The shrimp was rubbery and bland. The hushpuppies tasted sweet like a doughnut, and the fish was alright, just not what I hoped for. Not sure I’d go back.

Food was good but restaurant was under staffed as is common everywhere these days, long lines at drive through and inside. Reason for 3 stars is that the 2 guys preparing the food we’re using foul language, I’m a grown man but there is a time and place for everything, I’m glad my wife and grandkids weren’t with me.

Absolutely terrible service. Closes before actual closing time. I called beforehand because i knew the management was bad and it rang 19 times then hung up. Will never be trying to eat there again.
