A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. Food is overall pretty good, but the time it takes to prepare them is ridiculous. The other day, I ordered and it took them over 20 minutes to prepare them. It should not take 20 minutes, especially if it’s not busy. Please encourage your employees to be faster with the service.

Absolutely terrible and disrespectful staff. My mom went in to help me order what I asked her to. I took a screen shot and sent to her so she could help me place the order. She showed it to the cashier and then he started laughing and turned around and started laughing with the other people making the food. Why are you laughing she asked. Because clearly they were all laughing at her and for what reason? None of them answered her and just did their own thing. So if they really weren’t laughing at her, they would have apologized and explain that they were not laughing at her. Oh mind you yes she does speak English and finished her college degree mind you. So because she showed you her screen to make sure she doesn’t get my order wrong you made assumptions about her? Is it right for the whole staff to laugh at her? What terrible people. Maybe you’re laughing at her because you think she doesn’t speak English but at least she can speak more than 2 languages. Absolutely horrendous and disrespectful people. How do these kids go out in this world and think it’s okay to laugh at other people. Absolutely horrendous and disrespectful people.

Very disappointed with out take home order. Ordered 3 Fish and Shrimp dinners. Food ( Shrimp and Fish) were not fresh, very oily tasting and chewy and grey in color. One dinner had no hush puppy’s. Very small portions ( 1 small piece of fish and 6 very flat shrimp, no crispies just soggy food. French Fries also not fresh, soggy and oily. The coleslaw was ok. Plenty of condiments included but overall disappointing.

Went through the drive thru today around 4:30, ordered fried white fish with a side of corn on the cob and broccoli. I added an order of 10 fried shrimp and a larger bowl of shrimp gumbo. How do order shrimp gumbo and his everything gumbo should have but NO SHRIMP IN IT AT ALL ♂️ Is this how you maximize your profit by not including what the item on your menu should contain? The food was well prepared, tasty, fresh BUT you did NOT fulfill my expectations!!!! ♂️

Went to drive-thru today, totally disrespectful lady answering the window, tells me; “im not ready to take order with you” She was arguing w someone inside as i observed, and decided to leave, got me wet in the rain, waste of time, ruin my dinner plans. Drive thru took way too long. The car in front of us was asked to pull up but they pulled up just short of giving us enough room to reach the window. So we still had to sit and wait for them to get their food before we got ours. We considered leaving but we were blocked in between the cars at captain ds and Popeyes. I asked for fries but somehow they keyed in and gave me bread sticks. I didn’t even know they had those so I know I didn’t ask for it. I also asked for no ice, they gave me a cup full of crushed ice lemonade. Service was so slow and mediocre, I didn’t even want to go back around to correct it.
