At our Cartersville, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I swear I love some captain D’s. I really despise this one in Cartersville. I like the lady who works the window in the evening but the food is horrible. I’m so confused how people work here and just throw your food together like nothing. I ask for Cajun and it wasn’t. Then she passed food back to the back and they toss it on there like they didn’t care. My potatoe was cold and half done. My fish cold looked like who bit it and plain. I work to hard to pay this money to receive this kind of service after helping put smiles on people faces when I’m at work. Horrible and unsatisfactory. I miss being in Gwinnett.

I got the 2 piece fish dinner. It was ok. Nothing spectacular. Fries were cold. It’s not something I’ll be rushing to go back to. No crunchies at all on top. I ate the fish it was ok. Service was good. The cole slaw was good.

I always enjoy this restaurant. I get the fresh white fish with some fried okra and Cole slaw. Mmmm it was good. Today we also ordered the cheese sticks and I showed my mom how yummy they are dipped in honey mustard. So far everytime I’ve been there I’ve got great service. I’ve been going around once every 2 weeks lately. The staff was very friendly and positive today. I did hear some other people complaining cus there were no lemons. Can’t make everyone happy though. Thanks again for the delicious food and experience. I’ll see you again soon.

This location has a lobby closed like that still acceptable, so I go through drive-thru only to have to sit behind a car that’s having a casual conversation with a woman in the window. I was stuck and couldn’t get out because the truck pulled in behind me. So now I have to wait on these two women to finish their conversation before I can get my food, or leave and choose to go somewhere else. What a total disaster.

Food was ok Cole slaw was not good mac n cheese was not good new garlic fried shrimp looked nothing like the picture had a kind of grayish color did not look appetizing. I ordered and paid for two loaded baked potatoes and received two plane baked potatoes that had been left in the steamer too long and the inside had turned a strange color. The fish however was very good and the canned greenbeans with ham were ok. Overall disapointed.

Took my dad who is here from out of town to his favorite restaurant for his birthday. I had never been to the Cartersville captain ds before. The experience was not good. The servers were polite but the facility was not very clean. This should have warned us to what we saw as we finished our food. We saw a cockroach crawling across the dining room area and made us sick to our stomach. This ruined not only our meal but also my dads birthday.

Not really the cleanest, emplyees were verbally fighting at the counter with one walking away angry leaving service even slower. Food was OK, although cole slaw was very chunky making it not worth the chew. Senior special was a good price
