At our Jasper, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This (Jasper) Captain D’s was clean, the food was fresh & the staff was nice. Got the sampler (fish, chicken & shrimp) & it was pricey but it was so good. The okra was great but the fries weren’t cooked long enough. Will definitely go back for another round.

It’s close by, they aren’t the fastest but the food is always fresh and to me that speaks volumes more. Far superior to the CapD’s closer to Atlanta; which I find the food tastes less fresh with an old grease texture.

Seems like the last 5 times or so I get to the Jasper location before closing times posted on website and sticers put on doors when you first Go to enter the restaurant. How come you bother with displaying open/close times if there not kept. One thing for sure LJS should have never left Jasper.

Was a regular Go-To place for us, but the drastic price increases and limited Senior specials move it well down the list. And the dining room seems to hardly ever be open

Updating a previous post. This Captain D’s has potential to do great but they still can’t open their dining room.. Third time this week we have tried to eat there and they can’t open their doors.. Today 11:21 am three associates were outside either smoking, talking, and messing around in their vehicle. But they can’t understand the concept that if they don’t open their business for customers they won’t even have their job. They got better for a short time after we contacted the owner. We just drove by Pizza hut, Popeyes, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, Bojangles, Wendy’s, Jersey Mike’s, Culvers. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS OPEN FOR DINE-IN… Not including all the Mexican restaurants and Chinese spots.. My wife and I have officially agreed we are done wasting our time driving out the way to find your doors locked 95% of the time. Operate your business or shut it down.

Need new management. Two cars in the parking lot, it’s 9:00PM, the sign on front door says restaurant closes at 10:00pm. Sign at drive thru says “Drive-thru closed at 8:30PM do to short staff”. There’s a lady inside looking at me. Looks like she is riding the clock. So disappointed. Never Captian D’s to have such awful stacff.
