At our Lovejoy, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The best seafood in lovejoy. They are even better than the close by restaurants. Don’t sleep on Captain D’s. It’s about the location and this lovejoy location has the best quality and service hands down.

Captain D’s always have good service and hot fresh food. It’s clear that safety is their number one concern as the dining room remains closed. They do a great job at keeping the drive thru line moving and would pull you up to serve the next car. The fries were nice and hot but not that crispy. The fish was crunchy and the hush puppies were good. I usually go for the coleslaw as my side dish and it’s very good.
