At our Dahlonega, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

They did not let us know until after we received our salads that they didn’t have any tomatoes. I honestly would not have ordered the salad if i would have known. The sauces all tasted really good. My son loved the chicken fingers.

Captain D’s definitely surprised me. I thought this was going to be another subpar fast food seafood place, but after reading some reviews, I decided to give it a shot. It was worth it. Their seafood is delicious. They have a large menu to choose from and a few seasoning flavors to pick from. I picked lemon pepper on both dishes. I had the ultimate seafood platter, which is fried, and the fish and shrimp grilled platter. You get two sides to pick from in a platter.

Absolutely not worth the money. 3 seafood platters and the fish, crab, shrimp, veggies tasteless. Mac & cheese was runny and also tasteless. No more crumbly bits and the only thing that was close to normal were the hush puppies but, still lacking flavor. Time to ship up or ship out so another restaurant can move in.

It’s usually great here, the girl taking my order at the front was very polite but I heard a girl working next to the warmers yell “are you serious??”when I asked for my food to be cooked completely done. Very immature. I will be returning in the future but I would appreciate the young ladies in the back to keep derogatory comments to themselves. And to top it all off, my fish wasn’t fully cooked.
