At our East Ellijay, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Go inside to eat. Employee is on her cell phone talking to her friend for about 5 minutes. No concern about working. Her big concern is talking , talking and talking. I and my friend were invisible. Never had such a ridiculous encounter. I hope I never see this woman again. I know I will walk out. I have been going there for a lot of years. Thank you!

Stopped in here for lunch one afternoon on my way to the Verizon store. Generally my experience with Captain D’s goes one of two ways; dirty and trashy or its the ideal Captain D’s experience. Luckily my experience at this specific location was the latter. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean & stocked. When we walked in the door we were able to order our food quickly without having to wait in a long line. Emily was pleasant to deal with while we placed our order. We got a fish and chicken meal and a fish and shrimp meal. The food came out fairly quickly and was hot and fresh. They had lots of sauce options and we didn’t have to ask for a handful like we normally do because it was a self-serve sauce station. For fast food, this location is a decent spot because it has more of a sit-down style restaurant rather than your typical fast-food restaurant. They had appropriate ‘ocean & fishing’ décor which gave this restaurant a nice touch.

Came through around 3. Slow to come to the register & the cashier was texting the whole time while taking my order. Took entirely too long for my food to be prepared & was lukewarm. Only the stuffed crab was hot on my deluxe plate. Was not busy when I visited maybe 2 other guest & a drive thru order at the time. I couldn’t recommended this location.

This restaurant is nasty. Tables were not clean. Restrooms were not clean. The floors were dirty. When we arrived to order no one was in line. The cashier was in the back joking around with the cooks. Could have been cleaning up.

Couldn’t tell you how the food or service was because we couldn’t get in the place. Posted hours on the website as well as the door is 10:30am open. My mother(90 yrs old) and I arrived at 11am. There was a man standing at one of the doors, the employee came out, let him in, never said a word to us, and relocked the door. So we left and went to Wendy’s next door. While sitting in the parking lot, at 11:15am, the employee and cook came out, got in a small suv and left! Lost my business.

Absolutely horrible. The employees were cussing and fighting with each other, right in front of customers and children. We had to wait 30 minutes for our order, just for it to be wrong! Absolutely disgusted with the food, service, and staff

I took my wife here for dinner and we had the seafood platter with a sweet tea. The food is outstandingly good, but you only get a cup or 2 of tartersauce for 2 dinners if you go and ask for they act like they were gutshot. They put all the condiments behind the counter so now you don’t get what you want without going back and forth for them. The price has gone through the roof. You have to pay seperate for your drinks and the small drinks are near 3 dollars each. It cost 36.$ and change for 2 people to eat. In not wealthy so that hurt my pocket book. I WONT be going back here again. Their are plenty of places to eat out that’s affordable. The place is very clean and the aroma inside is fresh and crisp. GREED hurts places like this.

I’m so sad. Captain Ds is one of my favorite places. We stopped going for a long time because the food never was right but today I took my daughter for a late lunch around 3. I had high hopes seeing as it has been awhile but after we waited forever in the drive thru the food was not fresh at all. We only went 3 mins to our next stop to eat so it did not set in the bag and get old. I give up on ever getting good food again.
