At our Dalton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I love the food at Captain D’s and honestly it is just as good and far less expensive as someplace like Red Lobster. My only disappointment was they had a sign that said “clam strips are back” but when I asked for them was told they don’t have them. Take the sign down please as that drew me in on this particular day.

Placed an online curbside order pick up tonight. Got there on time checked in. Waited 15 min and finally called and asked about my order. They told me they didn’t do curbside anymore. So I had to go inside and then waited another 15 min to get my order to it took 45 min total. Update your website and ordering options and remove the sign in the parking lot for online order pick up. Not a great customer experience

If in a hurry i don’t recommend this place. Its usually packed and slow getting food. Very good though and is worth the wait if you have time. I have had pretty much everything on there menu and have enjoyed it all. I just don’t care for there chicken that much. There sweet tea is pretty good as well! They have healthy choices too from entrees to sides.

Horrible customer service! Don’t order sides, they’ll be room temperature at best. They gave me overbaked cheesecake and when I asked to exchange it or get a refund, they initially refused. I asked for a manager who tried to exchange it for an even more overbaked sliced. She asked “have you ever made cheesecake” as her cashier smirked and shrugged her shoulders. They kept the cheesecake and my money. Corporate please do better with training your staff.
