At our Starke, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food was pretty good, honestly better than I thought it was going to be. I ordered the fish and shrimp. It was cooked good but just a little to salty. I also good a slice of cheesecake it tasted good, more like a store brought cheesecake. But overall not bad for fast food seafood. The service was also really great I liked how the staff served the customer’s and brought the food to the table. The cashier was very nice as well.

SURPRISINGLY GREAT!!! Some of you may question this review – give it a chance. The woman who greeted us and took our order was EXCELLENT. She gave us good information on the menu we were unfamiliar with and was patient. Her customer service skills were on point. We ordered a blackened whitefish meal with a shrimp skewer, 36 fried shrimp, and six hush puppies. The food was good. No complaints. It’s not world class but it was under $35 for all that food! My kids loves the shrimp and I felt that I had something moderately not unhealthy. Plenty of parking and seating makes eating here easy. I understand (not first hand) the bathrooms were not clean. I recommend at least giving this a chance.

The Lady Manager was Fantastic!!! About 6 months ago..or so..was the last time we were there..and Honestly..it took forever to get out order..and then when got the food home..it was cold…and it only takes about 8-10 minutes for us to get home. Not this time..Food was still Hit and tasted very good.
