At our Jacksonville, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

My boyfriend and I went into Captain D’s on Edgewood Avenue and I was impressed all the way around! The foomd was great, it was hot And fresh, and the prices have gone down extremely over the past few years! The place was extremely clean even the bathrooms! But the BEST PART was the customer service!! The lady that worked the front and took our order was very respectful, very friendly and welcoming, and made sure we were very well taken care of, she went above and beyond! I wish I would’ve got her name but I forgot and tried to call and get it after we left but I wasn’t able to get through. I haven’t seen customer service that great in a very long time, honestly I can’t remember the last time! Amazing job guys, keep it up!

Lady in Drive thru was cold and Quick with very unprofessional responses. Smell of weed was strong especially once the Drive thru window opened. I would think a fish smell may be more appetizing.

Just left captain D’s on Normandy because they shut the lobby down early. Went over to the Edgewood location with my family. This time the door was not locked. The cashier rudely and stankly took our order. Gave us our food. She watched us get ready to sit down… Then she said we can’t eat in the lobby. We came to the lobby and ordered at 8:45pm the door says they close at 10. She rudely said we can’t eat inside.

This place advertises itself as “the catfish kitchen” on most delivery apps, not “captain ds”. When you place an order, you will receive a text message saying your order is ready. When you arrive, they will tell you they never received your order and that they will not refund you. This place is scamming people. Order at your own risk, and have a plan B for when you realize you were scammed.
